Before I get into my top 10 best and worst films of 2016 I thought I would put together this list of films which surprised me in 2016, but not quite enough to make it onto the top 10 list. It is nice to be surprised by a film when you head to the cinema that is for sure!

Nancy found herself in Mexico to find a beach her mother visited back in 1991. Everything seems normal and well in the beautiful place, until a shark attacks. She might just be 200 yards from the shore, but being all alone she must battle to survive.

Adaline has been the same age for almost eight decades she has gotten into a routine of every 10 years leaving her current place and going somewhere new so people don’t get suspicious of her never ageing appearance.
Instead of doing season by season review and the fact that I couldn’t wait to watch the next episode or season for that matter. Honestly my life was consumed by Gossip Girl and I could not resist watching the next episode let’s face it though Netflix makes it easy for you. Only having to press a button when faced with this question …
But when you are asked this question three times in one day/night. You actually have to think should I really still be watching? So thank you Netflix for making me judge myself!
Hal Jordan is a test pilot, who one night is chosen by an alien with a green ring to replace him. Along with a green lantern he gets superpowers and becomes part of a squadron who are to keep the galaxy at peace.
Although it is not due for release until 2011, the first four posters for “Green Lantern” have been released. (It looks as though this is going to have a big build up). I have to admit that I have not really been keeping up to date on this film and did not realize Mark Strong was going to be in it – this has me now very excited for this film.
