2021 was another strange year with the cinemas closed for a while again, so attempting to watch new films and in particular those from 2021 was quite the challenge. I feel as though this list isn’t maybe as “good” as some lists but I have had to go by the films that I have seen and I might have missed some but here it goes! Sorry, not sorry that this was a great year for musicals!
In 1969 in Belfast we follow young Buddy who is experiencing the violence on his own street with his working-class family as he attempts to understand life.
*Le Mans ‘66 – UK Title. Original Title – Ford V Ferrari
A high paced film looking at American car designer Carroll Shelby and mechanic/driver Ken Miles as they look to race for Ford who want to beat Ferrari at the 24 hour Le Mans race to show the world they can create a fast car and not just mass produce them.
Here we got the winners of the 2018 Golden Globe Awards, looking forward to eventually seeing a lot of these films over the next couple of months!
