Continue reading “The Witches of Eastwick (1987) Review”I have recently re-watched the Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper A Star Is Born and I then received this amazing infographic from Betway with fantastic research around awards and music stars which just seemed like perfect timing. While Lady Gaga has been nominated for her amazing turn in A Star Is Born, the transition from music to film is not always a smooth one. This makes for interesting reading in all honesty, to show that they are either a massive hit or a masssive flop!

Throughout 2018 I managed to catch up with 48 older films and have decided to put together a top 10 list out of those films. You will be probably be quite surprised that some of these films I did not see until recently as some quality films. Always good to set yourself a challenge to catch up. I am happy that I managed to get 48 first time watches of films that does not include new cinema releases. With the films I have chosen for my top 10 list I pretty much was left wondering why I had never seen the film before!
Here are the 10 films that have made my list (in no particular order) . . .

Exciting news just announced from Cineworld is that we are getting the 8th Secret Screening very soon. Just incase you somehow have no idea what the Secret Screening set up is, you have no idea what film you are going to be watching before heading into the Cinema. Which creates suspense and gives us a couple of weeks to try to guess which film it could be, as usual I have put together some of my guesses. I am spaced out the films over a month from this date into July as the last secret screening was Love, Simon and it was a pretty advanced screening!

Over the years we have now had many different genres as our Secret Screening and that certainly helps to keep it interesting. Usually though smaller films which need a little bit extra publicity are the previews.

Since seeing Bat Out of Hell last week I have been pretty obsessed listening to the albums so I thought what better way to forget it is Monday than these fantastic Jim Steinmen/ Meat Loaf songs!
I have also decided that not many of them are actually happy songs!
