Up (2009) Review

Eventually the time came to see “Up” I have looked forward to this for way too long now, and lets start this review off by saying it certainly did not disappoint. From the trailer’s and reading about the plot, that still does not really give you much insight into the full story of the film. It has sad parts, funny parts, cute parts, nice parts which equals an overall very good film.

The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus (2009) Poster

Just come across another poster for “The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus”. I think I like this poster the best (so far) and think it really catches the craziness which is shown in the trailer for the movie. It really is building up suspense for the release, I for one cannot wait til it comes out.

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (2009) Trailer

Just watched the trailer for Heath Ledger’s final film, with his role also completed by Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell. I think it looks very different, and I for one cannot wait to see this film.

Ledger’s Last Film To Hit Cannes

Its nice to see it will get a place in a film festival, to get it out there nice and early.

The film Heath Ledger was making when he died last year is set to premiere at the upcoming Cannes Film Festival in France after becoming a last-minute screening.

Film fans and the media are expected to flock to Terry Gilliam’s The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus when it opens on the eve of a day of publicity on 22 May.

The film will not be among those competing for film festival prizes.

As well as Ledger, the film features Christopher Plummer, Verne Troyer, Lily Cole and Tom Waits and Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law, who stepped in to complete the tragic actor’s scenes.

Ledger died from an accidental drug overdose in January 2008.

The Sound of Music (1965) Review

“The hills are alive with the sound of music, with songs they have sung for a thousand years.”

When Maria a nun leaves the convent to become a governess to the seven children of Captain Von Trapp, she never expected to fall in love with him. A truly incredible musical that really does have so many incredible musical numbers.
