The Hateful Eight won’t be shown at Cineworld!

January is pretty much the craziest yet best month in the UK when it comes to going to the cinema, we get plenty of great films that we just know are going to be in and around the awards season obviously heading towards the Oscars. A film that has been talked about a lot since it’s US roadshow has been The Hateful Eight. Obviously the hype as well surrounding the film due to the fact that it is the next Quentin Tarantino film, and something I had in my cinema plans to go and see on it’s UK release this Friday.

As you know I have an Unlimited Card for Cineworld, which incase you don’t know are monthly passes where you pay once and go as many times as you want or possibly can! It really does work out at a fantastic saving over the course of the year. Although sometimes the film choices or lack of wide releases does have an impact if you really are into your films of course. But this is the big one really Cineworld will not be showing The Hateful Eight. This was first discovered and announced last night as people noticed it had been taken off the website/app/booking places for the whole cinema chain!

2015 at the Cinema!

2015 has been a very good year in terms of films and I had plenty of Cinema trips to keep me going over the year. I am going to go on record here and say that I think it is actually a lot better than 2014. Not only have I had a good time with the films, I have also branched out and even been to a few cinema’s that aren’t Cineworld. As you know I have the monthly pass which obviously helps getting to the cinema a lot. This year though I attended my first film festival in London which also meant I got to go to the legendary Leicester Square Odeon as well, just an added bonus. I then also went to a local small cinema to catch The Lobster considering it did not get a very wide release from Cineworld at all, so that was another fantastic experience. Also adding Vue to the list as I picked up some amazing 3D Star Wars glasses when seeing The Force Awakens for the first time.

This time last year I was celebrating a record-breaking total. You know what I have only gone and done it again setting a new record this year, beating last year by a whole 4 films! Which I think is pretty impressive when some months were a little poor, but I got off to an amazing start seeing a whopping 12 films in January. That is always the best month in the UK for seeing films as it is all building up to the Oscars.

London Premiere – Star Wars: The Force Awakens

On Wednesday I just so happened to have a trip down to London planned to see A Christmas Carol. This had been planned since the end of September and I had no idea that it was going to be on the same day as the European Premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. I have never been the biggest Star Wars fan (although that has started to change). But I was still very excited about it going on in Leicester Square at the same time I was going to be down. Luckily I was tweeting about it on the train heading into London and someone told me wristbands were being handed out inside the Odeon until 12pm. That was rather good timing as my train got in about 11am.

Cineworld Movie Quiz

As you probably already know I attend the cinema a massive amount in a year and that is all thanks to having an Unlimited Card at Cineworld and being able to see as many films as I want for £16.90 per month. Which as you can see is an absolute steal for how expensive it can be to go to see the latest releases at the cinema, and pretty much how I manage to see and review the latest films each year. If I didn’t have that card ir would be totally impossible to see as many films as I do!

It was brought to my attention that they have a Movie Quiz you can take part in to find out which 2015 Film Character you are. Plenty of choices to see if your Katniss Everdeen, Ted, Scott Lang (Ant-Man) or Minion Kevin? So it certainly covers plenty of different types of films and genres. Who will you end up with? So head over to the site and take part in the quiz  – http://www.cineworld.co.uk/blog/cineworld-movie-quiz

On completing the quiz I got Ant-Man from Ant-Man. Have to say I was very happy with that as he turned out to be such a good character, in a film that I liked a lot more than I expected. The quiz result gives you a few reasons on why you got that character, along with a picture of them as well.

So why not take the quiz yourself and see which 2015 film character you get?

Tell me who in the comments!

The Lobster (2015) Review

In a dystopian future if you are single (or suddenly become single) you must leave The City and go to The Hotel. You are given 45 days to find a partner/match or you will be turned into animal and released into the woods. You get to pick which animal you would like to be though.
