The One Where I Got More Friends Merch for Christmas!

That’s right following on from 2020’s Christmas Friends haul, this year I got a few more Friends related gifts, I absolutely love how many of my family and friends buy me Friends related merchandise! Just a reminder the year is 2021. Although you will notice that another TV series has snuck in for the calendar this year when I eventually caught up and became a massive Seinfeld fan!

This year it contained a lovely massive noodle bowl, with one of the greatest quotes of all time as I don’t share food either! A desk calendar, a little talkie of Ross and Rachel which has “Pivot, Pivot, Pivot” as a quote along with the classic of “We were on a break”, the lovely glass mug and turkey head bath bombs! I have also realised that I have missed off the pjs and nightie that are also friends related!

The One Where I Got All The Friends Merch for Christmas!

Thats right the year is 2020.

Friends ended in 2004.

It’s been 16 years since the show ended which is actually 6 years longer than it actually ran for as it lasted a decade. It has always and will always be one of my all time favourite TV Shows. Sitcoms are something that you need to be able to switch off and forget life.

I have made no attempt to hide my love for this show and have plenty of gushing blog posts about it. I seriously don’t care what younger generations think about this show that has meant so much to me at different stages of my life. As you can see from the below photo my family and friends know that I still love it!

LEGO: Friends – Central Perk

Friends Lego!

When it was announced by LEGO that a special Friends set would be available it has been something that I have been looking at getting, being the big Friends geek that I am. This eventually happened mainly due to lockdown in all honesty, because that pushed the decision to eventually buy it! Especially when Amazon had it £8 cheaper than the £64.99 retail price and it was unavailable direct from LEGO until the end of June, although now it is just out of stock and hard to find. So it seems I made the correct decision to purchase it.

7 Reasons to still love You’ve Got Mail

That’s right I am talking about the 1998 romantic comedy starring Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks, which for as long as I can remember I have totally adored and loved. I think they are even better together in this one than Sleepless in Seattle. It’s one of those delightful little films that you can put on when your feeling a little bit low and feel so much better because of watching it. I even went through a phase many years ago of watching it over and over again, you know as soon as you’ve finished watching it putting it back on again!

So with plenty of passion and love for this pretty much perfect Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan collaboration, I have put together this gushing piece and hope that others feel the same way about You’ve Got Mail as surely it cannot actually be hated when it does so much good?

I couldn’t have been anymore excited about eventually heading to #FriendsFest after having the tickets booked as soon as they went on sale. This was the first time the Comedy Central UK tour of everyone’s favourites friends was coming to Newcastle and I certainly could not miss out! I thought it was essential to put together this blog post to celebrate Friends, show off the incredible photos we had taken and a truly fantastic day spent with one of my childhood friends and naturally a fellow Friends fan and geek!
