Film and Theatre Lover!
February 9th 2009 . . . That was the date I made my first ever blog post and as you can probably tell 10 years later it is still very much all about films! While Let’s Go To The Movies came a little bit later (7th June 2009) in terms of the name my adventure on here started 10 years ago to this date.
Throughout 2018 I managed to catch up with 48 older films and have decided to put together a top 10 list out of those films. You will be probably be quite surprised that some of these films I did not see until recently as some quality films. Always good to set yourself a challenge to catch up. I am happy that I managed to get 48 first time watches of films that does not include new cinema releases. With the films I have chosen for my top 10 list I pretty much was left wondering why I had never seen the film before!
Here are the 10 films that have made my list (in no particular order) . . .
Harry Tasker is far from the computer salesman his wife Helen thinks he is, actually he is a secret agent battling terrorists and spending a lot of time in other countries. Everything is about to be turned upside down when he thinks Helen might be having an affair.

Film star Norman Maine helps young singer and actress Esther Blodgett become a star Vicki Lester, whilst he destroys his own career due to alcoholism that he cannot control. But the love they share is really something special.

An incredible present for my birthday today is an upgrade for my home film watching, an Ultra HD Blu-ray player! Now to purchase some 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray films! It comes with The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and I already have the incredible new version of Die Hard that I can watch.
Not forgetting the cool Friends duvet cover I also got!
I was so amazed when I saw a tweet about this incredible new range of 12 films from HMV that are in a VHS still box and case but it is actually a Blu-ray and DVD copy of the film along with other typical 80s gifts! I seriously love anything like this when they release something a little bit different and new. I am sure these will be very popular and quickly sell out.

Father’s Day is fast approaching Sunday 17th June 2018 . . .
What films do you think about when you think of your Dad and what have they got you into in terms of films? Well, I certainly have to say that for myself Arnie is an actor that I think my Dad made me a fan of! He is one of my ultimate guilty pleasures along with Stallone!
Yesterday I reached a truly incredible milestone when I published my 1000th film review! I feel that is a massive achievement since starting this blog back in February 2009.
Jack Torrence has just accepted a job to work as a caretaker at an isolated hotel for the winter. At first everything seems to be going well for the family, but when Danny starts to see things from the past and what will happen in the future it all takes a different turn.
