Trailer: Mary Poppins Returns (Full)

We don’t really have too long to wait now for the return of Mary Poppins and I have to admit that I completely love this trailer! It really shows the magic they have created with the character we already love so much. Also I didn’t know about some of the cast!

Trailer: Mary Poppins Returns

The first official teaser trailer from Disney was released during the Oscars last night and it is just a perfect way to start building up for the return of Mary Poppins. I totally love the trailer and the use of the kite throughout with the music and small moments which just show that it is almost time to see her again! Well done Disney!

First Look: Emily Blunt as Mary Poppins!

Mary Poppins Returns

I might be a little bit late to the party in Blogging about this but it’s the first real chance that I have had, it certainly will not be the first post about Mary Poppins Returns which is due for a 2018 release, at Christmas. Which is just a practically perfect idea and will do incredible at the box office. Although it currently has 25th December release for the UK, I think we will find that 26th considering no cinemas open on Christmas Day.

2016 at the Cinema!

2016 was another good year for films released at the cinema and I think the standard was pretty good, I managed to miss a lot of the films that seemed to be regarded as the worst of the year which is always a big bonus!

This time last year (and the year before) I was celebrating a record-breaking total. You know what I have only gone and done it again setting a new record this year, beating last year by a whole 12 films! Which I think is pretty impressive although I seem to be treating it very much like a game now in trying to beat the previous year. Even monthly trying to outdo the year before. I was so close to 80 and I think that will therefore be my target in 2017. Good job I have an Unlimited Card at Cineworld to be able to do this!

201678 Films

Previous years at the cinema . . .

2015 – 66 Films

2014 – 62 Films

2013 – 59 Films

2012 – 40 Films

2011 – 60 Films

2010 – 33 Films

2009 – 34 Films

2008 – 49 Films

2007 – 39 Films

2006 – 21 Films

7 Films that disappointed me in 2016

Having a look at some of the films that I was left rather disappointed with in 2016, that is often due to the hype surrounding them before you get to watch them. I have noticed that Comic Book based films seem to take up most of this list. Surely that just shows that we have way too many over the past few years and it has now past the point of no return in getting loads of them each year.

Here you can see the films that I caught at the cinema during 2016!

Blogathon: Against the Crowd 2016

fotorcreated_zpsthripxin

I took part in this Blogathon back in 2014 for some reason or another which I am totally unsure of I didn’t take part in 2015. I must apologise for that as I totally love this Blogathon as it shows that everyone is different and don’t love and hate the same things, one of the best things about watching lots and lots of films!

Massive thanks to Wendell @Dell on Movies and KG @KG’s Movie Rants for putting together this fantastic Blogathon!

The rules are simple…
1. Pick one movie that “everyone” loves (the more iconic, the better). That movie must have a score of at least 75% on rottentomatoes.com. Tell us why you hate it.

2. Pick one movie that “everyone” hates (the more notorious, the better). That movie must have a score of less than 35% on rottentomatoes.com. Tell us why you love it.

3. Include the tomato meter scores of both movies.

4. Use one of the banners in this post, or feel free to create your own.

5. Comment on this post, or on KG’s Movie Rants with the two movies you intend on writing on.

6. Publish your post on any day from Monday August 22 through Friday August 26, 2016.
