Having just reached an incredible milestone of publishing my 1000th film review I feel this is the perfect time to get nominated for an award with the UK Blog Awards for 2018!
I received a fantastic email last night to be told that I have made it onto the list of Top Entertainment and Movie Blogs of 2017 from The Writers Awards.
I made it as number 11 on the top 12 list, which is something I am very thrilled about!

You may (or may not) remember that earlier this year I was put in 7th place in Vuelio’s list of Top 10 UK Film Blogs. Was is an incredible achievement considering the size of the other blogs I was listed with! Plus moving up from 10th place from the previous year.
Over the past few weeks I have found myself mentioning this to people on Twitter who had absolutely no idea what I was going on about. On IMDb – Internet Movie Database although I am sure you already knew that part. You can add your Film or TV Series reviews onto the external review part of the site.
I am pretty sure I just saw someone else mention it and started doing it then. Well, worth taking a little bit of time to put all of your reviews onto the site. I get around 15/20 clicks from IMDb by having my reviews in external reviews. I think it will probably be something that becomes even more popular with the announcement that they are closing down the messages boards. I guess both good and bad reasons behind that, but that is a totally different issue. I am here to help you expand your blog and get more people reading your reviews that you take a lot of time and effort to write.
I will take you on a step by step guide and honestly once you’ve submitted a couple of reviews it takes seconds to update!

I am absolutely delighted to announce that Let’s Go To The Movies has once again made it into the Top 10 list of UK Film Blogs from Vuelio! This year I have moved up to 7th position, I see it as a fantastic achievement as I look at myself and the blog as very small in comparison to the others who are on the list.
I received a great email yesterday from Vuelio saying that I had made the top 10 in the list they put together of the most influential Film Blogs in the UK! Very proud and honoured to make a top 10 list with some fantastic other blogs which I have followed for some time.
Once again a massive thanks to Vuelio for recognising Let’s Go To The Movies as 10th spot in the list!

Help me have a good start to 2016, thanks Caz!
Looking back at some of my blog posts I first had the idea of doing a top 25o film list back in 2009, but never actually started with the blog posts. I’ve now decided the format in which it is all going to happen. My top 250 films are going to be more based on the films which I have watched over and over again and have a love for – so that means they might not be the best acting wise or even storyline wise . . . as I am going to go back to some of the films which I used to watch in my childhood. The list might not stay at 250 films, it could end up being longer and having more than that.
I will be doing one film per post, so it’s going to be quite an epic journey. Each post will have a brief plot line about the story, stills from the film, possible video of different scenes and most importantly why I love the film – or what I have always loved about it. If you follow my blog regularly I am sure you will have a pretty good idea which films are going to be in this feature.
I think it is going to be interesting looking back, but these posts aren’t going to end up like a full review of the films – I will keep all of that separate. So be prepared to join Let’s Go To The Movies making a top 250 list of films which I love!
I have noticed a few other film bloggers have done or are doing this type of thing – which has also helped me decided to really go for this now! Wish me luck!
