This is inspired by a rather incredible true story about a hairdresser Sharon who manages to against all odds bring a community together to support a widowed father, Ed and fight for the life of his critically ill young daughter Michelle.
It’s not something that I really get involved with but I thought it would be a great time to have a look through some of my favourite romantic film quotes, as let’s face it everything that is said in the movies is just so much better than what people say in real life right?
This is something I have been putting together for quite a long time now and I have held off posting it or even attempting to start the blog post in fear that I have forgotten and somehow missed a favourite film from the list. Barring in mind I got up to 72 films and then had to cut it down to the 50. I would like to make clear these are my favourite films, some might have happened to win Oscars as well and some certainly have not at all. The way I have decided on my favourites is the sheer joy they bring and the number of rewatches I have had over the years. While I have listed 1-50 a lot of them can be shifted around and changed with each other. It is going to highlight my love for musicals and for certain actors and actresses! I doubt it will contain many surprises though!
Derrick has a one night stand with a woman when in Vegas. Little did he know she was actually a detective and suddenly turns up on a case of a break in at his house. Everything is about to get very complicated for him!
Based on the very true story of Brandon Teena who when moving to a new town in Nebraska became very popular with a new group of friends. Hiding your past will never work out as he failed to mention that he was actually born as a woman named Teena Brandon.
When twelve strangers wake up in the middle of nowhere gagged and with a box in the middle of the field they must act quickly as they have been chosen as part of The Hunt!
2019 has been a fantastic year for female roles as I had 41 performances on my long list to cut down to make this top 25. I can only think that is an amazing way to notice the change in more interesting roles for females within film. I feel this list has a very good mixture of different types of roles across the different genres.
