Top 10 – Christmas Film Villains!

At this time of year we cannot help but watch the same films again and quite frankly we probably don’t focus enough on the villains in those films. I actually thought this would be a rather amusing list to put together with some interesting choices (hopefully).

Recreating the Movie: Christmas Mashup!

I suddenly had an amazing idea, following my Die Hard recreating the movie last Christmas Eve this year I have managed to get more Christmas films involved. Thanks to my new Grinch Christmas hat, Elf bedding and then the Home Alone and Batman Returns POP figures.

Is it my most epic one yet?

Home Sweet Home Alone (2021) Review

When Pam and Jeff McKenzie are in the process of selling their house they believe Max Mercer stole a doll that just happens to be worth $200,000 dollars and now must break into his house to steal it not realising that he is Home Alone when the family went to Tokyo without him!

The Best Film Related Christmas Jumpers!

Over the past few years I have found myself buying a new Christmas jumper, mainly for Christmas Day each year and have gone for film related ones in recent times. Although rather disappointing when hardly anyone actually knew that my Golden Girls jumper was in fact the Golden Girls. You can get some outstanding ones now which is why I decided to put together this blog post to highlight just how amazing some of the Christmas jumpers are and they appeal to pretty much every single fandom! Whatever you love the most you are guaranteed to find a jumper for that somewhere!

You can get a lot that are in sweatshirt style but I still personally prefer the proper trashy jumper style and when you add in film they really do have some great levels of detail on them.

LEGO: Home Alone House!

The latest release from LEGO sees everyones favourite Christmas film and house be done in LEGO form! This is simply outstanding and I really wish I could one buy it and two have somewhere to display it! Having had the pleasure of going to the real house when I was in Chicago it would be outstanding to also have the LEGO version.

The level of detail in which LEGO place into their products is simply breathtaking and something that really does impressive me so very much!

Price: £229.99

Happy 77th Birthday Joe Pesci!

On what is his 77th birthday Joe Pesci is an Oscar nominee tonight for his incredible role in The Irishman, which he should be winning for in my honest opinion! Everyone’s favourite burglar who had trouble not swearing on the Home Alone set!

Recreating the Movie – Home Alone!

Whenever I go anywhere now I always try to find some film locations to visit and on my first trip to Chicago (for the marathon) I managed to get a rather epic film location, which was a big trek but for the photos more than worth it that’s for sure!

Here you have it the Home Alone house! I am not sure if Kevin was still left inside or if the Wet Bandits were circulating the neighbourhood?

This could be my most epic post as part of Recreating the Movie yet!

Actors in Family Film Roles!

A couple of nights ago now I turned my TV on and The Flintstones was on with John Goodman as Fred, this was a film I can remember a little from my childhood and when it was first released. It them made me think about other actors that I see from these “kids” films and at the time had no idea that some of these were Oscar nominees or winners and even catching up with their older films I cannot help but remember them from the films that I watched during my younger days!

This is a blog post I have thought about putting together in the past and I have tried to come up with as many actors as possible who I have typecast in what were more family/child aimed films. Feel free to have a think about which actors you still see in this way as well! It is always quite interesting to think about which films you associate with an actor and it is usually the first one you see them in.
