McKellen: Playing the Part is a truly fantastic documentary taking a look at the life and work of acting legend Sir Ian McKellen. A very intimate journey with the man showing sides to him that we have never really seen before.

One of my all time favourite actors recently announced a truly incredible tour, a one man show on stage with Sir Ian McKellen taking us through his career and treating us to his most known and loved characters. He is turning 80 in 2019 and has decided to go to 80 different venues across the UK.
Tickets for Newcastle at the Theatre Royal went on sale this morning at 9:00am and by 9:02am I had front row tickets, this was the friends of the theatre pre-sale and they are selling out very fast!
A retelling of the classic Disney animated film of the story of a Prince who is cursed to be a Beast until he can love someone.

Its official I feel extremely old today as it is 15 years since Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring was released at the cinema. You should already know that this is the one film that changed it all! This was actually a really tough thing to do and only pick 15!
It really kick started my extreme love for film and wanting to watch as many as possible. I was blown away by the start of the adventure and forming of the Fellowship. It was showing us that when faced with great evil people from all different backgrounds will unite to stop it. I think that is reassuring if nothing else, we get to learn about the different people and our first look into Middle Earth.
The Middle Earth Peter Jackson managed to create really was something else, we get so many breathtaking shots throughout the film, so I thought as part of the celebration that I would pick 15 of my favourite. You will have to see if I mange to pick all of yours, or if I have missed something you love!

Firstly I feel I need to apologise that I am posting about Sir Ian McKellen and Sir Patrick Stewart again. But I am still feeling very fangirl-ish (and making up new words) for the pair after an incredible few days seeing them live on stage in No Man’s Land and the the stage door meeting (McKellen/Stewart) and not forgetting the Inside View Event.
I thought I had to post with 7 amazing photos of the pair who have the best friendship and bromance going!
