Cineworld Day – 26th February 2022

Cineworld have announced their first ever Cineworld Day which sees all films in all different formats for only £3 per ticket! Sponsored by Pepsi Max.

I know what Unlimited members are wondering (as I did myself) and it means that we don’t have to pay any uplift fees on Saturday either, so we can head to see IMAX, 4DX, ScreenX or Superscreen without paying the extra few pound.

I really hope that this will see a lot of people take up the offer and get different screenings a bit fuller than normal and that it will then be something Cineworld decide to do more often. The only thing that is not included in the £3 pricing is any cinemas that offer the VIP experience.

No Time To Die (2021) Review

James Bond had left active service and somewhat retired, but was that ever really going to fully happen? He certainly hoped so, but when Felix Leiter his old friend from the CIA turns up asking for his help it isn’t long before he is dragged back into everything to figure out the dangerous villain who has developed some fatal new technology.

“I guess I’ll see you in the movies” – An Ode to Cinema

Lockdown and the Coronavirus/Covid-19 pandemic has brought many challenges for everyone, along with so many issues. Personally for me the cinema being closed has been one of the toughest adjustments, while many people may not actually understand this and see the cinema as somewhat of a luxury and somewhere they only go every so often, maybe even every couple of months to see the latest big blockbuster films. That is not the case for myself, I go two/three times a week and sometimes even more depending on what is being released. Managing to balance this in with work and occasionally being able to have a double feature with two films straight in a row.

Why do I like going so often?

Last night I went to the Odeon Cinema at Silverlink which has recently reopened after the Coronavirus pandemic lockdown. It had been almost 18 weeks since I had the pleasure of sitting in a cinema screen! I usually go to Cineworld as a I have an Unlimited Card with that being my closest cinema. I have been to this Odeon a couple of times now because it is the closest IMAX screen to me.

Recreating the Movie – The Dark Knight

Tonight I went back to the cinema after almost 18 incredibly long weeks and went to see The Dark Knight for the fourth time on the big screen but the very first time in IMAX. With so many more home viewings over the past 12 years since its release in 2008, it felt like the perfect film to welcome the cinema back into my life, had to go to Odeon with Cineworld pushing the opening date back to the end of this month. Although for IMAX I have to visit Odeon, it is only the third time I have seen a film in IMAX and it really is the most incredible way to watch a film.

Anyway for recreating the movie and the occasion of The Joker in his IMAX glory I purchased this snood/face mask for the film and here is my attempt of being the joker! I am certainly looking forward to using it during the winter for my runs!
