Continue reading “Seabiscuit (2003) Review”Having already mentioned what a huge year 2009 is for Let’s Go To The Movies, formed in the February to be exact. That was therefore a massive year in terms of reviews for 2009 films, catching as many as I possibly could at the cinema and then reviewing them. Something I have grown to love over the past decade!

I don’t feel as though this was really an outstanding decade in terms of films and/or performances but we certainly were given plenty of entertainment. The 3D film was pushed a lot and in a few different ways which is something that Avatar really was groundbreaking with, however after ten years maybe that film was more of a gimmick than actually an amazing film? I certainly think so.

In 1969 a group of strangers meet by chance at a hotel named the El Royale, it is very run down and has a dark past. Between two states California and Nevada, the hotel I split across the two and you can chose a room in either of those.

A rather big shock came from last nights Golden Globe awards with Bohemian Rhapsody taking the Best Picture award in Drama. Not something I was expecting at all, I have to say I am happy with the other winners!

When the Kingsman headquarters is destroyed and the agents wiped out it is up to Eggsy and Merlin to try to save the world. Heading to the US and finding Statesman a similar organisation who they must work together with.

Last week John Goodman was honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, yes surprisingly he didn’t already have one. I thought this was amazing news to see after I had just caught up with The Big Lebowski over the weekend. As Jeff Bridges brings back The Dude to honour Goodman, incredible stuff! My love for Bridges is certainly still growing!
