Keep checking back for my live thoughts on the host, presenters and winners of each award! I am confident of staying awake this year!!!

This has been a really difficult list to put together this year as initially picking my best films from 2015 I had 17 in contention to make my top 10, which I think is very surprising but also pleasing to know that I actually enjoyed and liked a lot of films in 2015. It was rather difficult to narrow it down and I am sure this could have seen the films changed around depending on when I completed the list. Something which I am thinking having a running ranking system for 2016.

Didn’t manage to make the top 10 but were very close . . . Inside Out, Kingsman: The Secret Service, The Lady in the Van, Suffragette, Ricki and the Flash, The Martian, The Lobster.
7 Films that surprised me in 2015
7 Films that disappointed me in 2015
So here we go my top 10 films of 2015 . . .
Here we go again.
I mean that in two different ways. The first being a second blog post more about life and love but using the films I love. Tonight’s post comes with a rather heartbreaking quote from The Sound of Music. Well I find it that way, considering it is the Baroness who says it to Maria about the Captain. You know the man she is actually engaged to! But the more you think about that quote the more you realise that it is true, if he knows how you feel then it seems to work against you. If he isn’t sure then he’s all for you. Seriously men you really are the complicated ones!

Will is an ageing playboy whose world is flipped upside down when he meets Charlotte a young woman who is terminally ill.

Keith Michaels is an Oscar-winning screenwriter, but when he hits a slump and struggles to get a job he finds himself moving from LA to the East Coast to teach at a College.

John Connor sends Kyle Reese back in time to protect his mother Sarah Connor. But when Reese arrives in 1984 everything has changed . . .

This is another category that I have seen all of the films for, I think it makes these blog posts a lot easier (won’t always be the case as I am missing some, but you will have to wait and see which ones …). Now the selections for these seemed pretty straight forward, but I guess one was quite a surprise with Robert Duvall getting a nomination for The Judge. I was really pleased with that as enjoyed that film than it seems other people did! Everyone has been talking about Simmons easily walking away with the gold statue but I think this is a very strong category and he has some brilliant competition. This is nearly always the best category as always has very strong performances!

A determined young drummer is pushed to the limits when gets in the studio band at the prestigious music academy.
The nominations for the 2015 BAFTA awards have been announced this morning and i have to say I am pretty impressed with the choices. Some are probably a little bit of a shock but we must remember that a slight bias towards British actors and actresses is often shown with the BAFTAs not a bad thing in my opinion. Just showing that they appreciate our own talent. So far I have seen nearly all of the films, just a couple to catch up with. They come out over the next couple of weeks as well!
