Let’s Go To The Movies – 50 Favourite Films!

This is something I have been putting together for quite a long time now and I have held off posting it or even attempting to start the blog post in fear that I have forgotten and somehow missed a favourite film from the list. Barring in mind I got up to 72 films and then had to cut it down to the 50. I would like to make clear these are my favourite films, some might have happened to win Oscars as well and some certainly have not at all. The way I have decided on my favourites is the sheer joy they bring and the number of rewatches I have had over the years. While I have listed 1-50 a lot of them can be shifted around and changed with each other. It is going to highlight my love for musicals and for certain actors and actresses! I doubt it will contain many surprises though!

A second poster has been released for the up and coming film about Judy Garland starring Renee Zellweger. I actually think I like this one even more than the first poster that was released (here).

As you are probably already aware I adore musicals and Judy Garland is in one of my all time favourite films. That being A Star is Born. Along with that Renee Zellweger is also in one of my all time favourites Chicago, which is a musical as well.

So Renee Zellweger as Judy Garland in the up and coming film Judy is something that excites me. Then we get this poster which is just absolutely gorgeous!

Musical Moments – A Star Is Born (Judy Garland)

From the first moment I saw A Star Is Born with Judy Garland I was totally mesmerised by her incredible performance. The moment we see her put everything into ‘The Man That Got Away’ is incredible.

The release of the trailer for the new version of the film starring Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga came out last week (Click here if you missed it) and it made me constantly think about this song and that I must watch this version again soon!
