Continue reading “About My Father (2023) Review”Today sees the launch of the 7th LOCO London Comedy Film Festival 2019 which welcomes the festival’s most exciting programme yet. Taking place Thursday to Sunday, 11-14th July at the BFI, this year’s festival promises to feature some of the funniest films on screen alongside a riotous shorts programme, LOCO masterclasses with special guests, industry events and training, on top of a 30th Anniversary screening of the rom-com classic When Harry Met Sally, Directed by Rob Reiner and starring Billy Crystal, Meg Ryan and Carrie Fisher, on Saturday 13th July.

This year’s festival will open with Dominic Brigstocke’s UK Premiere of Horrible Histories: The Movie – Rotten Romans starring Craig Roberts, Kim Cattrall, Nick Frost, Kate Nash and Derek Jacobi. Atti (Sebastian Croft) is a Roman teenager with ‘Atti-tude’, a smart kid who likes to bend the rules. When one of his schemes (selling horse wee as gladiator sweat) falls foul of Emperor Nero (Craig Roberts), Atti is forced to join the army and is sent to miserable, cold, wet Britannia. There the natives are revolting, quite literally, as Boudicca (Kate Nash), Queen of the Iceni tribe, takes on the might of Rome.

The downside of going to the cinema once maybe twice a week is that you will end up going to see some bad films at some point. Or maybe not just bad, but disappointing after they have been built up so much. I have managed to see 41 films from the year 2010, so picked by 10 worst from those!
Some of the films may come as a bit of a shock on the worst film list, but just how I felt watching the films. The more I have looked over my list the more it appears disappointment set in whilst really looking forward to seeing the films.

Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte returned to the big screen for a second outing this weekend.
That opening sentence just shows that I did indeed start this review the day after the film was released. It really was something I had been looking forward to since the first movie finished!
The third poster for sex and the city 2 has been released featuring all four of the girls.

A second trailer as recently been released for SATC 2. Which as a massive SATC fan does make me really happy! Not long to go now until the film is released 28th May 🙂 I really cannot wait!
I cannot believe that I have been slipping so much over the holiday period to actually miss the first trailer which has been released for SATC2. Not really much shown in the trailer expect for some of the outfit’s and nice shots of Manhattan. But as you may already know I am a massive SATC fan so anything thats released for the movie is very good in my world. So here is the trailer:

Because I am such a massive fan of Sex and the City (SATC) and have seen all of the episodes loads and loads of times. Along with the movie, and with the build up to the second movie in full swing because of all the on-set pictures. I decided that I am going to revisit every episode thanks to my DVD collection which just happens to be in a small shoe box . . . yes I have the full lot all in one box. So I am going to review each episode . . . This could take a while or it could not take too long at all. So . . . watch this space . . .
Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda are going to be watched and enjoyed yet again, along with their many men over the seasons and years and of course Mr. Big.
I will be putting in my views on the main issues in each episode.

Carrie Bradshaw is a New York City writer and is eventually getting marry her Mr. Big, will he turn up though? Everything is then placed on her three best friends to pick up the pieces when everything in true Carrie fashion goes terribly wrong.
