I mean we are all very interested to see how Barbie will play out on the big screen in live action form, right? Well, I am invested especially since the infamous rollerskating photos of Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie. Although the lack of Gosling in the trailer was disappointing. But I guess we have Helen Mirren narrating and it makes it look so over the top and ridiculous, which is more than what we need right? I do love a good teaser trailer, coming summer 2023!
Here we have the nominations for the 80th annual Golden Globes awards with the ceremony taking place on the 10th January 2023!
Best motion picture – drama

When a second batch of Supervillians are put together and send on a tough mission, this time dropped on a remote island of Corto Maltese. Named Task Force X and lead by Bloodsport and Peacemaker with Harley Quinn also thrown into the mix.

Continue reading “The Suicide Squad (2021) Review”Over the years the Best Actress in a Supporting Role race has become a lot stronger and that is certainly a very positive and good thing! Showing that the female roles are well and truly improving. Laura Dern has been running away with everything this awards season with some people arguing that Marriage Story wasn’t even her best 2019 performance thinking about her in Little Women! Being full on team Jojo Rabbit I would love to see Scarlett Johansson getting this one!

Harley Quinn has split up for the Joker (for good this time) and must now try and find her own purpose in Gotham City without any protection she quickly finds out a lot of people want to kill her! Eventually joining forces with other female superheroes and battling to save a young girl from Roman Sionis.

2020 is the 15th anniversary of the BAFTA having the Rising Star Award which is voted for by the public. Starting in 2006 known as the Orange Rising Star Award and then since 2013 the EE Rising Star Award, this is due to sponsorship and pretty much helps the award with publicity and getting the public involved in the voting for the winner.
Over the years as I have become more and more obsessed with films I know more about the nominees which in all honesty makes me feel very special and at times very geeky. Which I personally love and am very proud of, I felt coming up to the 15th year it was very important to take a look back at not only the winners from each year but the other nominees as well. The list is very impressive and it feels as though someone at BAFTA can certainly pick out rising stars in the best possible way, the nominees are chosen regardless of gender, nationality and whether they have made a breakthrough in television, film or both.
It has been announced who will be attending the BAFTA awards on Sunday and this certainly means I am one very happy fan girl at the moment with so many of my favourites due to attend!
Who from the list excites you the most? So many amazing British actors in attendance and I personally cannot wait to see what Roman Griffin Davis will be wearing this time and wondering if he will have a small reunion with his awards show best friend Taron Egerton?
