It’s Complicated (2009) Trailer

As I blogged about the poster being released for this movie the other day I thought I would go on a search for the trailer and I am now looking forward to this movie even more. I just love Meryl Streep !!! and I have a little thing for loving Steve Martin.

It’s Complicated (2009) Poster

I am very excited for this movie for two reasons. 1. Meryl Streep and 2. A Nancy Meyers movie. This is the poster which has been released and the picture/tagline pretty much describes the plot of this movie.

The Bridges Of Madison County (1995) Review

I cannot decide who I keep falling more in love with Clint Eastwood or Meryl Streep. Each role I watch them in they make me love them so much more than I did before. Why does Clint Eastwood just seem to love ripping your heart out in the movies he directs, produces, stars in, etc?

Julie & Julia (2009) Review

I would advise not to watch this film when hungry as it will just make you even worse. So much food that really does look good enough to eat and even makes you want to cook it. Is that partly the point of this film, to encourage people to cook? That would make sense as Julia makes Julie want to cook and inspires her blog. I decided to read some what in to the background of Julie Powell’s blog and found out that it is the first blog to be made into a movie. How ironic that I am not blogging about a movie that was based on a blog?

Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009) Poster

While at the cinema yesterday, I saw the trailer for “Fantastic Mr. Fox” and wasn’t really too sure if I wanted to see it or not. But the actors who’s voices are used are just so good ie. Meryl Streep and George Clooney for a start. Any way here is the poster:

Julie & Julia (2009) Pictures

I just adore Meryl Streep so therefore just love watching her in all of her different roles. So I cannot wait to see Julie & Julia as it looks like its going to be very good. Another great performance from Meryl looks on the cards, I am also very much looking forward to seeing her on screen again with Stanley Tucci, as they had some good scenes together in “The Devil Wears Prada”.

Julie & Julia (2009) Poster 2

A second poster has now been released for the up and coming Julie & Julia movie starring the ever fabulous Meryl Streep and her new best friend Amy Adams haha. The last poster did not have a picture of either of them on, so I think this one is much better !!!

News: Streep Inspired Ryder’s Happiness

I always like it when younger actors are helped out by their elders.

Winona Ryder vowed to cheer up on movie sets – after Meryl Streep taught her how to be happy and successful.

The actress, who suffered from depression following her split from Johnny Depp, realised she could combine her acting with a contented personal life after working with Streep on 1993’s The House of the Spirits.

And the experience helped her learn it wasn’t necessary for actors to be moody in order to give their best performance.

Ryder tells Elle UK, “I worked with Meryl Streep on The House of the Spirits. I always thought actors had to be really depressed or moody or anguished to be great, but she was completely fine and had her family and came to work and did an amazing job and she wasn’t that way.

“I remember that being a really big deal to me. And I was like, ‘Wow, I can actually be happy and be good at the same time!'”

News: British Films Stormed 2008 Box Office

I always love it when British films do well, so that they stormed the box office in 2008 is just brilliant !!!

Batman and James Bond helped make 2008 a bumper year for U.K. movies – British films raked in more than $3.75 billion (£2.5 billion) at the global box office last year.

The Dark Knight, starring Christian Bale and the late Heath Ledger, was the top earner, with just over $1 billion (£666 million) in sales and Quantum Of Solace took $576 million (£384 million) worldwide.

Abba movie musical Mamma Mia!, featuring Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan, also proved a box office smash, taking $602 million (£401 million) since its release in July.

Other Brit films in the top 10 earners of 2008 include fantasy film The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian which took $419 million (£279 million) and The Other Boleyn Girl, starring Natalie Portman, which garnered $75 million (£50 million).

John Woodward of the U.K. Film Council says, “That’s a phenomenal achievement and a measure of film’s contribution to the wider economy.”

Movies are classified as British if they meet criteria on whether the stars, directors, producers and funding come from the U.K.
