This is something I have been putting together for quite a long time now and I have held off posting it or even attempting to start the blog post in fear that I have forgotten and somehow missed a favourite film from the list. Barring in mind I got up to 72 films and then had to cut it down to the 50. I would like to make clear these are my favourite films, some might have happened to win Oscars as well and some certainly have not at all. The way I have decided on my favourites is the sheer joy they bring and the number of rewatches I have had over the years. While I have listed 1-50 a lot of them can be shifted around and changed with each other. It is going to highlight my love for musicals and for certain actors and actresses! I doubt it will contain many surprises though!

My 7 Favourite Best Picture Winners
I saw this going around Twitter last night listing your 7 Favourite Best Picture winners but I thought I wanted to put a blog post together to be able to have more information in it! As you may already know I have an ongoing Best Picture Project where I am trying to watch as many of the nominated films as possible. So you can check which films I have seen on that list.
I am sure none of my choices will come as any real surprise, as some of my all time favourite films have won Best Picture! Although it was quite tricky to slim the list down to just seven films.
The Ultimate Sports Film
As you will always already know if you follow my blog I absolutely love Sport in Film. I work in sport and find the film appreciation of that to be something special at times.

I have therefore decided to try and come up with reasons that make a great sports film and then come up with the ultimate film that well pretty much has it all. Which might be easier said than done considering the high calibre of films available.
29 Today!
That’s right I am now entering the last year of my 20’s I find that so scary its unreal! Each year I try to come up with some different for a blog post. This year my idea was to work out what some of my favourite actors were starring in when they were 29!
Julia Roberts – My Best Friends Wedding
Catherine Zeta Jones – Entrapment
Meryl Streep – The Deer Hunter
Julie Andrews – The Sound of Music
Hilary Swank – Million Dollar Baby

7 Boxing Films to Watch on Boxing Day
Here in the UK the 26th December is known as Boxing Day. This is obviously a good time to get those Boxing films on and be part of the day! I’ve tried to pick different types of boxing films and cheated when it came to Rocky as I have just put it in as the series as it could have taken up a few places on the list of seven films!
The films all seem to have a similar theme for the main character who is done on their luck and nothing in life seems to go their way. Leaving them with only one thing left to fight for, the right to box. It must be the nature of the sport which makes the themes of them very similar.
What is your favourite boxing film?
Breaking Emotions Blogathon – TEARS & SURPRISE
The second two emotions as part of the blogathon will again see three scenes from films for each of emotions chosen. These emotions are Tears and Surprise. Trying to pick just three for tears is very difficult, due to having now cried at so many film scenes over the years. This post does contain SPOILERS as most of the scenes are end of films!!
