I’ve just got home from the Theatre to see Spamalot and feeling inspired by that (review in progress) . . . I decided that a musical moment for this Monday, which will hopefully make you smile is from one of my all time favourite films ‘As Good As It Gets’ when the legend that is Jack Nicholson gives his version of ‘Always Look on the Bright Side of Life’ ❤
Musical Moments – Sister Act
If I ever hear this song on the radio I always think about this part of Sister Act. It certainly is one of those songs that makes me think about a film scene.
Who doesn’t want to be rescued on a Monday?
Musical Moments – Agony (Into the Woods)
After seeing ‘Into the Woods‘ on Friday it has many different engaging songs and moments. So I had to do this post about ‘Agony’ what a mixed up scene and somehow very sexy as the two Prince’s are splashing about in the water. Are Disney really linked in with this film?
Musical Moments – About Time
Considering I have watched this film quite a few times in the past week, yes really! I forgot how much I loved it from when I went to see it at the cinema. You can check my review out here. So I have decided on the ‘How long will I love you’ version from that film for this weeks musical moments. I really do think its such a fantastic version of the song!
Musical Moments – An Officer and a Gentleman
Yes I have only gone for another Richard Gere one, but you cannot fault this one either. The 80s really did have some fantastic endings to films with the music thrown in!
Musical Moments – Bridget Jones Diary
Probably one of the funniest “fight” scenes in romantic comedy films. This really is just a brilliant scene with “It’s Raining Men” playing as Mark Darcy and Daniel Cleaver fight over Bridget!
Musical Moments – Shall We Dance?
The first time I saw this film I fell in love with Richard Gere even more, mainly due to this scene as well. Which yes I will admit it made me cry my eyes out, I honestly think its just so romantic and the song fits it all together even better. I think the song on its own could bring a tear to the eye but add in the story in the film and the build up to this moment.
Richard Gere . . . A Tux . . . A Rose . . . An Escalator …
Musical Moments – Pulp Fiction
I thought this would be a very fitting musical moment this Monday due to the 20th anniversary of Pulp Fiction and it having a one day only re-release in cinemas across the UK tomorrow! What better than Uma Thurman dancing around to a brilliant Neil Diamond song? I absolutely love this scene as she really is going for it and I am sure we have all been guilty of dancing (and singing) around the house like this!
Musical Moments – Toy Story 2
Possibly one of the most emotional animated scenes in cinema history. It really is so sad to see Jessie’s story!
Musical Moments – The Holiday
Because it is nearly Christmas . . . 2 Days to go! I decided to have a second Musical Moment this Monday as this one is from a Christmas time film! Classic moment of Cameron Diaz showing exactly what everyone does when Mr Brightside is playing!!!
