Continue reading “Julie Madly Deeply (West End) Review”Today Cinema First released a list of films that can be used at cinemas when they reopen in July. With Cineworld being the first to announce a date for England on 10th July they will then need films to show. The list has a very wide variety of genres as well as from all decades. I personally hope to see a lot of older films on the big screen for the first time, I don’t want recent ones given a release! Let’s appreciate some amazing films on the big screen for what could well be the very first time (Yes Casablanca and Some Like It Hot I am talking about you, not forgetting my all time favourite When Harry Met Sally!)

Always a fun and enjoyable task is looking back at everything I managed to see at the theatre (read this) during the course of a year and putting together my favourite 10 shows! It becomes increasing difficult each year and that is only a good thing as just shows that the standard of theatre is so high!
Here we go then my 10 favourite shows of 2018 . . .
Here we go with my run down of everything I managed to catch at the Theatre in 2018, this includes plenty of UK Touring shows coming to Newcastle’s Theatre Royal and the Sunderland Empire. I squeezed in a few London trips and even another New York trip thanks to my marathon place!
In 2016 I managed to see 31 shows. In 2017 I managed to see 36 shows. My total for this year 2018 was 26 different shows. Not as many as the previous two years, but still a very impressive number. Check out which shows here!

I managed to get a head start to the Cary Grant week on Sky Movies, as “Charade” is on anytime TV so it made for a good movie to watch when I woke up early on a Sunday morning. It was very charming and funny, no I am not just talking about Cary Grant I am referring to the whole movie.
I am a huge fan of musicals. I love going to see shows at the theatre and have seen shows on the West End and Broadway. So therefore I absoloutly adore movie versions of musicals. I have decided to do a countdown of my current top 10 movie musicals. I have actually found this list very hard to complete, as just having a top 10 was very difficult for me. But I managed to get it sorted in the end, haha. I kept remembering about different movies and probably will realise later that I have missed a favorite out. But never mind, I could always re-do this list in a few months.
As the Oscars are in a week. I decided to look through my collection of DVDs and see which are Best Picture winners or have an acting Oscar associated with them. So I will try to review a lot of them over the next week. Re-watch and some of them even watch for the first time. As looking at a couple of them I haven’t actually watched them yet.
