A family moves into a new house but everything is not as it seems when it unfolds that a family was killed in the house years earlier.

In the summer of 1979, a group of friends witness a train crash while making a super 8 movie and soon suspect that it was not an accident. Shortly after, unusual disappearances and strange events begin to take place in town, and the local Deputy tries to uncover the truth – something more terrifying than any of them could have imagined.

Drama is set in 1954, U.S. Marshal Teddy Daniels (Leonardo DiCaprio) is investigating the disappearance of a murderess who escaped from a hospital for the criminally insane and is presumed to be hiding on the remote Shutter Island.

I managed to get a head start to the Cary Grant week on Sky Movies, as “Charade” is on anytime TV so it made for a good movie to watch when I woke up early on a Sunday morning. It was very charming and funny, no I am not just talking about Cary Grant I am referring to the whole movie.

Eventually after what has felt like forever, Heath Ledger’s final role (although uncompleted) has eventually been released and I have just returned from a showing tonight (edit. I started the review when I first got back). I really have no idea where to start in this review as there really is so much to cover and say about this movie. I really do think it will need a few viewings to really see everything it has to offer as so much goes on and quite a lot of information to take in for each of the characters stories.
