TodayTix – Theatre Tickets

You may (or may not) remember a blog post I put together back in 2017 about West End and Day Seats (read here) when I went to London last week, eventually and to return to the theatre I had actually wondered if Covid would put a stop to this and box offices not opening early to be able to get cheaper last minute tickets direct from the theatre’s box office.

However, I did not have to worry about that. when TodayTix had a few different deals on what they list as Rush Tickets (hello Broadway words coming into the West End). Which is the same thing as day seats, all you need to do is download the app from the App Store and they go on sale at 10am which was always the time the box office opened for the same reason. These are £25 per ticket on the app and the options to buy are for 1 or 2 seats, because I go alone a majority of the time wanting only one single seat works out very nicely that is for sure. But for that price it wouldn’t really matter if you went with someone and didn’t sit together would it?

7 Reasons to still love You’ve Got Mail

That’s right I am talking about the 1998 romantic comedy starring Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks, which for as long as I can remember I have totally adored and loved. I think they are even better together in this one than Sleepless in Seattle. It’s one of those delightful little films that you can put on when your feeling a little bit low and feel so much better because of watching it. I even went through a phase many years ago of watching it over and over again, you know as soon as you’ve finished watching it putting it back on again!

So with plenty of passion and love for this pretty much perfect Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan collaboration, I have put together this gushing piece and hope that others feel the same way about You’ve Got Mail as surely it cannot actually be hated when it does so much good?

2018 at the Theatre

Here we go with my run down of everything I managed to catch at the Theatre in 2018, this includes plenty of UK Touring shows coming to Newcastle’s Theatre Royal and the Sunderland Empire. I squeezed in a few London trips and even another New York trip thanks to my marathon place!

In 2016 I managed to see 31 shows. In 2017 I managed to see 36 shows. My total for this year 2018 was 26 different shows. Not as many as the previous two years, but still a very impressive number. Check out which shows here!
