This blog post is part of The Film That Started It All Blogathon on Let’s Go To The Movies. Getting people to really have a look at a film that they believe started a true love, passion and obsession towards films. I wanted to make sure we focus on the good and get away from the negative comments mainly on Twitter, love film!

When I was thinking about this Blogathon something I actually had a similar draft saved from a couple of years ago, only one film was in my mind. That being Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring. I guess I could have combined the whole trilogy but I am going to only focus on that first part and the start of a truly epic journey for cinema watching and then the extended edition released on DVD and now I own on Blu-Ray as well, hoping for 4K UHD one day!
Here we go with my run down of everything I managed to catch at the Theatre in 2018, this includes plenty of UK Touring shows coming to Newcastle’s Theatre Royal and the Sunderland Empire. I squeezed in a few London trips and even another New York trip thanks to my marathon place!
In 2016 I managed to see 31 shows. In 2017 I managed to see 36 shows. My total for this year 2018 was 26 different shows. Not as many as the previous two years, but still a very impressive number. Check out which shows here!

It appears I was a night early seeing Killer Joe, I could have got two Lord of the Rings elves in one go as Liv Tyler went to watch Orlando Bloom on stage last night! I am pretty sure that would have pushed me even more over the edge with excitement.

After seeing Orlando Bloom on stage in Killer Joe, what an experience. I managed to get to meet him at the stage door as well!

My teenage dream certainly came true! My Legolas and Will Turner!!!
From this day forward the 31st July shall forever be known as Orlando Bloom. That is because I am heading to London to see him for the very first time, making all of my teenage dreams come true! He is in the play Killer Joe in the West End and I am seriously so excited about this, as you will probably already know he was my biggest teenage crush, I have seen all of his films (and TV appearances) and my love for Lord of the Rings is what started it all!
