I always look forward to the picture of the four acting winners, but for whatever reason this year (so far) I have only managed to find this one with Joaquin Phoenix (Joker), Renee Zellweger (Judy) and Brad Pitt (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood). I mean where is Laura Dern?!?! As she has photos with Renee?
On what is his 77th birthday Joe Pesci is an Oscar nominee tonight for his incredible role in The Irishman, which he should be winning for in my honest opinion! Everyone’s favourite burglar who had trouble not swearing on the Home Alone set!
Paul Sheldon is a best selling novelist and he is on his way home from his hideaway in Colorado after completing his latest book. Due to the blizzard his car crashes and he just happens to be saved by his number one fan Annie Wilkes. She doesn’t tell anyone taking him back to her house . . .

The legend that is Whoopi Goldberg turns 64 years old today! She stars in some of my favourite comedy films Sister Act, Jumpin’ Jack Flash, Ghost and her voice work in The Lion King. Takes on the more serious roles as well, she was outstanding in The Color Purple.
I am getting increasingly sad about how big the number is getting. 32 today!!!!!!!!

Something I found rather interesting when it came to putting this post together was that the majority of Oscar winners were a lot older particularly when it came to the male categories. Also in terms of the films above I have actually only watched one of them and it has to be one of my all time favourites*! Maybe I should make it a task to find and watch the rest of them over the next year.

One of my favourite actresses turns 70 today and what better moment to then have a celebration of one of the greatest actresses of all time in photo form? She is in some of my all time favourite films, the biggest being The Bridges of Madison County!

The legend that is actor/director Clint Eastwood turns 89 years old today! He stars in some of my all time favourite films, Million Dollar Baby and The Bridges of Madison County.

This is always my favourite photo from any Oscar ceremony when they have all four of the acting winners pose together. So this year we have Rami Malek (Bohemian Rhapsody), Olivia Colman (The Favourite), Regina King (If Beale Street Could Talk) and Mahershala Ali (Green Book).
This was probably the nicest moment and speech when Thelma Schoonmaker was awarded with the BAFTA Fellowship award. Long time film editor for Martin Scorsese and a three time Oscar Winner!
