2015 at the Theatre

In 2015 I managed to catch a record breaking 20 musicals and plays on stage in both the North East (Sunderland Empire or Theatre Newcastle) as well as trips to London to see them in the West End. You can read through the normal list 2015 Theatre. This number was certainly boosted by the Wicked UK Tour visiting Sunderland which I just had to go and see more than once, three times to be exact. This was also down to getting some fantastic deals with ATG Theatre Card, as for less popular touring shows at the Sunderland Empire I do get some discounts. This is nice and means you can buy last minute tickets for some shows, obviously depending on how popular they are.

The show I mentioned in my 2014 at the Theatre you know just the small one starring Imelda Staunton . . . Gypsy I went to see twice in London! Let’s say goodbye to 2015 . . .

London Weekend – 3rd-6th July 2015

I had been looking forward to this trip down to London for months and months now. I managed to get a ticket for AC/DC at Wembley Stadium so decided it was best to head down on the Friday and make a full weekend out of it. Plus then managing to fit in a show as well, that turned out to be Broadway transfer The Elephant Man, starring Bradley Cooper.

Friday

Also to do a little bit of shopping, not my favourite pastime but I did manage to get a couple of pretty cool things. One of the first I could not resist as it links so well into my re-obsession with An Affair to Remember.

I guess that started the trip off having a nice little film feel to it, and a lot of what happened after this links very nicely to the movies as well. Hence why I am writing this blog post, have felt very inspired to write many posts recently and hoping that I can keep it up.

Stage Door – Patricia Clarkson

Before the whole craziness of Bradley Cooper coming out the stage, Patricia Clarkson was extremely quick coming out and took time to sign plenty of autographs. Possibly one of those actresses who you recognise, probably because she has had a lot of supporting roles in many different types of films. She was lovely too and posed for some photos as well as a selfie after saying she looked awful! She was brilliant in The Elephant Man.

Main Street (2011) Poster

When seeing this poster I had to admit that I had a total fan-girl moment going on! Two of my favorite actors are in this film and it has got me looking forward to it. Colin Firth and Orlando Bloom in the same film, really does make me smile. Orlando Bloom has not really been seen in many films in the past few years, so lets hope this is a good one. Obviously with Colin Firth we know he is going to be good.
