Something very positive from 2018 was how many fantastic roles in film we had for women, this list was extremely difficult to put together this year as I certainly had a lot to choose from! That can obviously only be a very good thing in my opinion.
Here are the 25 performances that made it onto my list . . .
Some films you manage to see without much build up or expectation and you end up very surprised. I guess this is how we manage to find hidden gems and one of the main reasons to keep your options open and give different genres a chance.
It was quite tough to put my list down to only seven films but here are the final ones . . .

When her Grandmother sadly passes away when some of her wishes are read out before the will Sarah Francis is left her Pug dog Patrick. She cannot even begin to understand why she did this to her, but surely it was for a reason right?
