#LoveTheatreDay

As you are well aware I am a huge fan of going to the Theatre, catching my favourite actors on stage and the occasional stage door visit as well. This year I have managed a lot of touring UK shows, many visits to the West End in London and an incredible trip to New York for some amazing Broadway shows. Nothing better than watching live acting and singing before your eyes in some beautiful Theatres!

This is being celebrated on Twitter and really is fantastic to find amazing posts from performers and shows as well as fans!

Tony Awards 2008!

62nd_tony_awards_poster_zpsgpdqr6kr

A few days on ago on Facebook this incredible memory popped up from 2008 when I attended the Tony Awards in New York! An amazing evening seeing so many different people perform from so many outstanding shows. Watching In the Heights pick up the best new musical award, the night after seeing it on Broadway.

May 2017 at the Cinema

Into the fifth month of 2017 and I have managed to increase the number of films I got to see at the cinema back up to 10 this month, which actually includes two National Theatre Live productions of plays direct from the West End.

Cineworld Unlimited Card is £17.90 per month and I saw 8 films that qualified for the month which meant £2.23 per film. I had to pay for the Theatre productions £8.10 each, without an Unlimited card this is £16.99.

I saw the following films in May:

1st – Lady Macbeth – Review

2nd – Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 – Review

7th – Unlocked – Review

9th – A Dog’s Purpose – Review

Top 10 – Theatre Shows in 2016

Before I get into the list I thought it would be a great idea to mention that you can read about my 2016 Theatre trips here so you have an idea of which shows that I had to choose from when putting together my top 10 list of the year.

When picking the shows that could be in the list, I managed to narrow it down to 16! So then having to make the final pick was rather difficult as that is how much I really did enjoy and love them.

Just missing out on the list was Rocky Horror, Guys and Dolls, The End of Longing and Wicked. It was so difficult to have to leave out No Man’s Land as it was an absolute honour seeing Sir Ian McKellen and Sir Patrick Stewart on stage. As well as Nice Fish with Mark Rylance (who is to be made a Sir).
