Recreating the Movie – Pocahontas

Before Disney realised that it was actually a great idea to sell costumes, back in the 90s and for Christmas one year my Auntie actually made me my very own Pocahontas outfit! I had actually promised to post this photo when I reviewed the film (here) therefore when I came across this photo this morning I had to double check to see if I had posted this in my Recreated the Movie feature!

It also comes as a small tribute to my Nanna Darling who passed away six years ago today! Forever RIP to the gorgeous woman who reminded me of Joan Collins ❤️

Blogathon: 7 Childhood Films – Animation

When putting together my 7 Childhood Films for the Childhood Films Blogathon I am hosting I realised that I had not actually put any animated films in! Now that is such a silly thing to do really considering animation is a big part of what you will watch as a child. So I decided to submit another post and have 7 animated films from my childhood in this blog post!

I was never massively into the Disney Princess thing so that will just clarify why not many of them are included in this list. I was going to cheat and include Space Jam with it being part animated but resisted that temptation!

One day your Prince won’t come!

Having been to see Frozen last night it got me thinking about Disney have really decided to change the way a Disney Princess behaves. Might have been touched on a little with Tangled and Brave but that wasn’t quite there. However Frozen changes everything! Honestly we you see it you will understand exactly what I mean.

So this blog post was inspired by Frozen and made me think about all of the other Disney Princesses and how the role of a woman has changed in the world and now Disney are eventually catching up. I mean I not saying that every second they were pinning after a man but the happily ever after ending was nailed on for each of them and quite often the men had to be the one to save them. Usually something to do with true love.

Top 10 – Movie Quotes I’d love a man to say to me!

Ok so I have slightly caved and decided to admit for at least this blog post that I am a romantic at heart . . . by making a list of love movie quotes that I would love a man to say to me! But I had decided not to place them in a 1-10 order, as they are all in the list for the same reason of thinking that it would be just lovely for a man to say them to me. Yes some are very cheesy! But I guess I do have to conform at some point for some Valentine’s Day slushiness!!!

“You complete me” (Jerry Maguire, 1996)

Who wouldn’t want a man to inform them that you complete them . . . not something that they are going to tell you ever day. As corny as this is, I still love it!

Movie Quote of the Day 24

Today’s quote comes from a Disney film . . . Pocahontas very romantic (or stalkerish depending on your mood, haha).
