Obviously I cannot help but jump on a trend so created an action figure through ChatGPT and naturally got a bit carried away by adding different items and making it really film related to my favourites. Also I uploaded a photo where I was wearing a Wicked Theatre t-shirt.
Now that I have your attention with this quote from Jurassic Park, you read it in Jeff Goldblum’s voice didn’t you.
Just thought I would post a little update due to the lack of blog posts and film reviews. Believe it or not until Thursday (two days ago) I hadn’t been to the cinema for a month, which I actually feel is the longest I have gone in many years. That was for a few reasons really, being busy having started a new job in January, closing in on finishing my PGCE and not really wanting to see the films that had been released. Years ago I used to try and watch every single film that was released but these days I feel I make better choices for my personal prefrences when it comes to what I will actually enjoy watching.
It appears though, that Cineworld missed me in that month and have sent me a free popcorn and drink which I will natuarally be using in that 7 day period. But can we also just talk about the quality of films on offer over that past month not being very appealing, also please feel free to update me if you feel I have actually missed something good. On Thursday I caught The Penguin Lessons (with review to follow).
During my Tokyo Marathon trip back in March I had waited three years for that trip and only about a month or so before decided that I would add a Disney day to it all. I picked my last full day and had pre-booked a ticket for DisneySea, I researched a little into the two parks the other being Disneyland and decided that with DisneySea being more for adults. Plus I had been to Disneyland in Paris many years ago.
With DisneySea being very unique and having certain aspect that are truly just in Japan I thought it was the perfect park to visit. Given that my last Disney experience was nearly 20 years previous to this one I wasn’t fully sure what to expect in all honesty. Although I don’t think anything can really prepare you for just how crazy Disney is, people get well into it and it certainly makes for a very enjoyable day.
I quickly bought a headband as soon as I arrived and while something Monster Inc and Mike related was my number one choice, I couldn’t find anything so settled on the three eyed Alien from Toy Story headband and quite frankly I rocked it most of the day 😂.
That’s week three of Friday Fake Cinema Club complete and we watched The White Tiger which is another new Netflix film. Starring Adarsh Gourav, Rajkumar Rao and Priyanka Chopra-Jonas. Directed and written by Ramin Bahrani. This seemed to have a more positive response than Outside the Wire last week.

I love it when Cineworld have special merchandise available for a new release! Especially when its something as amazing as Mary Poppins Returns and a very clever use of an umbrella to have your popcorn in it!

Tonight is a big occasion at Cineworld. They are celebrating the 100th Unlimited Card holders Screening. Just incase you don’t know anything about them, it is pretty much a preview of an up and coming film before everyone else can see it.
They have included some Secret Screenings as well, you sometimes get a free bag of sweets to go with it.
Tonight we are getting an extended preview of Ghost in the Shell along with Popcorn before the main feature of Free Fire.
I was going to attempt to try and work out how many of the 100 Unlimited Screenings I attended but unfortunately I did not tag them all on my blog. I guess I could work back through old tickets and emails (watch this space, just haven’t had a lot of time this week).
Quite recently I saw something on Twitter about Cineworld doing wristbands with collectable film things to pin on them. So eventually when I went to the cinema last (to see Finding Dory) I bought one for my cousin’s little boy who is 5, he totally loved it!
At the moment they have four different choices in the things you can buy which meant it only cost £2 for the wristband already filled with the “charms” which works out the same as buying them separate at 50p each as you get a free wristband with the first one you buy.
It was a little disappointing they didn’t have anything for Finding Dory, maybe they will add that next? As I told him I would keep a look out for any new ones to add to his collection.
