It has been announced who will be attending the BAFTA awards on Sunday and this certainly means I am one very happy fan girl at the moment with so many of my favourites due to attend!

Who from the list excites you the most? So many amazing British actors in attendance and I personally cannot wait to see what Roman Griffin Davis will be wearing this time and wondering if he will have a small reunion with his awards show best friend Taron Egerton?

Top 25 – Male Performances in 2019

Here are the Male performances that have made my top 25 for the 2019 films that I managed to see throughout the year. This will include some 2018 films by date but due to the UK release dates they were available for this list. I actually had 45 on the long list so to cut it down it was a very tough ask! Some amazing films and therefore performances in 2019!

Oscars 2019 – Best Supporting Actor

The Best Supporting Actor category is often where we can expect an upset and I think it is pretty strong this year, only one of the nominations I find a little weak but I will explain that later. Ali seems to be the clear favourite for the award so I am hoping for an upset so my favourite can win! So it could be an interesting one or it could be the most predictable, not long now to find out though. I love Richard E. Grant and really would love to see him win, surely he would deliver the greatest and happiest speech of all time?

Let’s take a final look at the nominees for Best Actor in a Supporting Role . . .

BAFTA 2019 – Red Carpet

Always nice to see the stars arriving on the red carpet!

I absolutely adore seeing Jonathan Pryce on the red carpet with Glenn Close! Not forgetting my favourite Richard E. Grant!

Oscars 2019 – Luncheon

91st Oscars®, Nominees Luncheon, Class Photo

Each year in the build up to the Oscar ceremony The Academy host a Luncheon for all of the nominees and previous winners as well I must add. This happened yesterday and something that it always creates is some great photos!

I also must mention that Richard E. Grant is already winning Oscar season with his fanboy nature at all of the awards events and taking many selfies with different actors! (Richard E. Grant’s Twitter feed).

The Favourite leads the way with 10 nominations but is it the favourite to win?

The Favourite along with Roma have both been nominated for 10 Oscars which is the most for 2019. This year feels a little bit strange though when it comes to awards season and I don’t particularly have a film that I am backing all the way in terms of totally loving it. Unlike previous years, so I guess it makes this year a little bit more interesting in terms of who could win on the night. It feels a little bit more open!

A couple of surprise omissions happened though with Timothee Chalamet overlooked for his incredible performance in Beautiful Boy and not forgetting that, Bradley Cooper didn’t get a nomination as Best Director which therefore leaves Cuaron as the biggest lock of the entire ceremony in the Best Director category.

Now these are the ones we have all been waiting for in what is a very strange Awards Season so far, it could well be a rather open race and it will certainly make for a very interesting night! With no clear favourite having had many different films take the awards so far at different events.

BlacKkKlansman
Bohemian Rhapsody
