RIP Rob Reiner

Such sad news to wake up to this morning that director and actor Rob Reiner along with his wife Michele were both found dead in their home yesterday afternoon. Director of incredible films, A Few Good Men, When Harry Met Sally, Misery, Stand By Me, This is Spinal Tap, Sleepless in Seattle and some of my guilty pleasures including The American President, Rumor Has It and The Bucket List. As well as many acting roles.

Rest in peace ❤️

New Year’s Eve

Who better to talk about New Year’s Eve than Harry?

2021 Letterboxd Stats!

This was my second proper full year of logging everything I watch on Letterboxd and it really is so helpful and useful for keeping track of which films you watched and being able to put tags on means you can then easily scroll through that way as well. My challenge for this year was to “review” each film as well, which meant I just put in a couple of comments about the film.

Here we can take a look at my 2021 stats and I am sure no one will be surprised with my most watched films either!

#FridayFakeCinemaClub – Special Event – New Years Eve – When Harry Met Sally

With New Years Eve falling on a Friday this year I have decided to put on a special event of #FridayFakeCinemaClub. This one is a little bit different though as I have a suggest start time which can be local to your country for the best experience but just watching this absolute favourite film of mine and tweeting about it would be just great as well! Mainly because the finale moment occurs at midnight on New Years Eve!

Use the hashtag #FridayFakeCinemaClub on Twitter to join the conversation of what is one of the best romantic comedies of all time and in my top 3 favourite films!

Start Time: 10:35pm
Streaming Service: Amazon Prime Video & Sky Cinema (both in UK)

2020 Letterboxd Stats!

I signed up for Letterboxd way back in 2015. Yes, really! Although I didn’t actually start using it properly until the end of 2019 and therefore 2020 was the first full year that I logged every single film that I watched. Albeit not as many Cinema films as I would have liked, which leads me on to saying during the lockdown/furlough stage I spent a lot of time logging in the diary all of the films I had seen at the Cinema dating back to 2003 (yes, I still have my Lord of the Rings: Return of the King ticket). This obviously took a few weeks as I also logged the films I have review on here as well. So as you imagine a lot of time was taken to do this. It gives some amazing all-time stats though.

Here we can take a look at my 2020 stats and I am sure no one will be surprised with my most watched films either!
