World’s Greatest Dad (2009) Poster

I think this will be good. I love Robin Williams in a more serious role.

News: Night At The Museum Crumbles Competition At U.S. Box Office

I think everyone could have predicted this coming. Night At the Museum when it came out on Boxing Day a few years ago now was a massive hit, and releasing this pre-summer and in a usual slow period was good.

Robin Williams, Ricky Gervais and Ben Stiller are laughing their way to the top of the U.S. box office – their new film Night At The Museum: Battle Of The Smithsonian has toppled the competition in its opening weekend (22-24May09).

The comedians co-star with Amy Adams, Owen Wilson and Hank Azaria in the film, which took in $53.5 million (£35.7 million) over the Memorial Day weekend.

The win was a shock for movie reviewers, who insisted Terminator Salvation – the fourth movie in the sci-fi franchise – was poised to take the top spot after scooping more than $13 million (£8.7 million) on its first day of release. But the film came in at second with $43 million (£28.7 million) in earnings.

The new Star Trek movie followed at third, with nearly $22 million (£14.7 million) in earnings and now boasting a three-week total of $183.6 million (£122.4 million).

Rounding out the top five are Tom Hanks’ Angels & Demons and new comedy spoof Dance Flick, which took in $21.4 million (£14.3 million) and $11.1 million (£7.4 million) respectively.

10 Movie Quotes – That Mean Something To Me

I decided to do a list of 10 movie quotes that really mean something to me and I really relate to with how I feel about love, a certain man and life in general. I probably have posted most of these quotes on the blog at some point, but that just shows how much I love them,

“Sometimes I wish I had never met you. Because then I could go to sleep at night not knowing that there is someone like you out there.” (Good Will Hunting) –

While I love this quote, I more love that it kinda explained how I felt about someone a while ago. I always feel it is mis-quoted in terms of how it is said in the movie, as it is not said between two people who love each other. It is about Will Hunting (Matt Damon) being so brilliant.

“I’m scared of walking out of this room and never feeling the rest of my whole life, the way I feel when I’m with you.” (Dirty Dancing)

Dang this hit me very hard when I watched the movie recently as it was totally how I felt when I left to come to the USA when I kinda said goodbye to someone. Although we did not say bye as such . . . but that whole moment in Dirty Dancing is totally how I felt.

“After all . . . tomorrow, is another day.” (Gone with the Wind)

I think this is always important to remember. That no matter how bad things are, tomorrow is another day (and hopefully a change in fortune?)

Ford And Craig Sign Up For Prince Charles’ Eco-video

I think its really good that the actors are willing to help out 🙂

British royal Charles, Prince Of Wales has enlisted the help of stars including Harrison Ford, Robin Williams and Daniel Craig for a promotional video to help save the rainforests.

The environmentally-friendly royal shot the comedy clip – featuring a computer generated frog in every scene – to help raise awareness of his Rainforest Project, which aims to curb deforestation around the world.

Ford is seen with the frog – a victim of the disappearing rainforests – sitting on his shoulder as he calls himself “a friend of frogs” and vows his allegiance to the project.

Williams and Craig also star, along with soul singer Joss Stone, the Dalai Lama and Charles’ sons Princes William and Harry.
