I thought I would put together a new list this year for what I saw in 2016 (here) with the standout male performances of the year, this is going to combine the whole leading and supporting roles. Just what I have been really impressed with!
Let’s take a look at who made the list . . .
Another year is coming to an end which means another Best Film list must be put together. I am sure I will have plenty of choices of films that people won’t agree with, but this is my list so I can pick what I thought was the best out of the films I have watched in 2016.
Here you can see the films that I caught at the cinema during 2016!
Best Drama
Hacksaw Ridge
Hell or High Water
Lion
Manchester by the Sea
Moonlight

As the BFI London Film Festival starts tonight I thought it would be a good idea to put a post together to preview some of the films that will be making an appearance at the festival and the different Gala/UK Premiere’s happening over the next 11 days. It really is a fantastic event that takes over the many cinemas in Leicester Square with plenty of star acting power in attendance.

Two private eyes with very different styles end up working together to find out the truth about deaths all linked together over a newly made porn film in the 1970s.
Keep checking back for my live thoughts on the host, presenters and winners of each award! I am confident of staying awake this year!!!

Into the top 10!!! Here are the next 5 . . .

The Big Short takes a look back at the housing bubble collapse which happened in 2008, the thing is though some very unexpected people actually predicted it happening a couple of years before it all eventually imploded.
I have decided to start a new type of blog post on here, using a film quote that comes close to how I am feeling I am going to vent my thoughts and probably stress (and massive overthinking) in an attempt to get rid of it all to be honest. I am not going to set how often these blogs will be but I guess that just depends what exactly is going on in my life. Although I don’t really have a massive amount of a life at the moment, so much work and no time for much else. That is one of the reasons I love going to the cinema, that is my switch off and relaxing time (well maybe not always relaxing if I pick an awful film). This will be extremely film related though so don’t worry!

Having had a very tough few months and the past week with not a massive amount of sleep, I think it does play with your mind and makes it more difficult to see things rationally. That who paranoid state seems to creep in and you doubt well pretty much anything and everything. I think the above exchange between Portman and Kutcher is a great way to start, what a feeling right?
