Well my “New Moon” challenge did not last very long at all. I have to admit that it is because as with “Twilight” when I read that last year, these books the way they are written some how consume me. I cannot really completely explain why exactly but it just happens and I really do not want to put them down. So I have two more to read being “Eclipse” and “Breaking Dawn” which I am sure will be done in the next couple of weeks.

Last night I eventually decided to continue reading “New Moon” my new found push being that the “New Moon” movie comes out next week. Of course it will not be difficult to read the book in a week. I mean since last night I have read 180 pages . . . so I could possibly be finished it over the weekend. I knew it would eventually consume me like Twilight did, were you totally do not want to put it down! I read Twilight in such quick time. I did originally start reading this straight after Twilight but got distracted with something else . . . I cannot even remember what. But I am back on track now and have Eclipse and Breaking Dawn waiting to be read as soon as I have finished New Moon.
So Far I have to admit that I am not Edward’s friend for leaving. He has totally broke my heart . . . Bare in mind that I had already read this part before. Yet reading it last night it really hurt and struck me, I suppose I do have my reasons. I cannot really stop reading it . . .
So the challenge will continue . . .
Breaking Dawn the fourth and final book of the Twilight saga has been given the green light and will begin filming in Septemeber 2010.
A director for the film has not yet been attached to the project.
Rumours have stated that it might be done in two parts, but this is yet to be confirmed.
At least everyone now knows that the franchise will be completed.
I think this is really good news 🙂
Twilight star Robert Pattinson has confirmed that there will be a fourth film in the vampire series.
Speaking at the Cannes Film Festival, the 23-year-old said the movie would be based on Stephenie Meyer’s best-selling novel, Breaking Dawn.
He added he was currently in the final days of shooting the second film, New Moon, in Italy and would start third movie, Twilight: Eclipse, in October.
The first instalment topped the UK and US box offices last year.
The series tells the story of a romance between Bella, a teenage mortal, and Edward, a decades-old vampire.
Pattinson said his role in New Moon had been beefed up compared to the book, in which Edward is simply “a voice in Bella’s head”.
“You’re playing a figment in Bella’s imagination so I was trying to do it in a 2D way. I hope it doesn’t translate onscreen as being boring,” he told The Hollywood Reporter.
In between Twilight films, Pattinson said he plans to star in Remember Me, a film about a man who spends six weeks working out whether he loves someone or not.
Because of his other movie commitments, there was no definitive start date for the fourth movie, he added.
Very interesting nominations, but good that younger stars and not normally award movies get to be nominated.
Vampire blockbuster Twilight and Oscar-winning Slumdog Millionaire will lead the charge at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards after scooping seven and six nominations, respectively.
The bloodsucking love story, based on the book by Stephenie Meyer, will compete for prizes including Best Movie, Best Female Performance for Kristen Stewart, and Breakthrough Performance Male for both Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner.
Slumdog Millionaire stars Freida Pinto and Dev Patel are also up for the Breakthrough Performance accolades, while the film will go up against Twilight, The Dark Knight, Iron Man and High School Musical 3: Senior Year in the Best Movie category.
Meanwhile, Anne Hathaway (Bride Wars), Angelina Jolie (Wanted) and Kate Winslet (The Reader) join Stewart in the Best Female Performance line-up, and Zac Efron (High School Musical 3), Shia Labeouf (Eagle Eye) and Robert Downey, Jr. (Tropic Thunder) will fight it out for the Best Male Performance title.
Miley Cyrus (Hannah Montana: The Movie) and Vanessa Hudgens (High School Musical 3) will go head-to-head for the Breakthrough Performance Female award, while Cyrus is also nominated for Best Song From a Movie for Hannah Montana.
Real-life Slumdog Millionaire lovebirds Patel and Pinto have also earned recognition in the Best Kiss category, alongside Twilight’s Pattinson and Stewart, James Franco and Sean Penn for Milk, and Paul Rudd and Thomas Lennon in I Love You, Man.
The Dark Knight’s Christian Bale and the late Heath Ledger will battle it out for Best Fight alongside Seth Rogen, James Franco and Danny McBride for their scrap in Pineapple Express.
The Golden Popcorn prizes, nominated and voted for by MTV viewers, will be handed out in Los Angeles on 31 May.
Third installment is on the go already 🙂 YAY !!!
The cast of the Twilight franchise are in for a scary ride when filming starts on the vampire series’ third outing Eclipse – horror moviemaker David Slade has been signed to the project.
Speculation over the director of the third bloodsucking movie has been rife over recent months, with Drew Barrymore and Juan Antonia Bayona both being linked to the coveted position.
Catherine Hardwicke broke records with her take on Twilight, while Chris Weitz is currently in charge of the forthcoming sequel New Moon.
But bosses at film studio Summit and author of the books from which the films are adapted, Stephenie Meyer, have given the green light for the third picture, Eclipse, to take a more sinister twist – by hiring scare master Slade.
The director is famous for his dark films, including Hard Candy in 2005, and has already worked with the vampire genre – directing 2007’s critically acclaimed 30 Days Of Night.
And Meyer is adamant Slade is the right guy for the job: “I am thrilled that David Slade will be directing Eclipse. He’s a visionary filmmaker who has so much to offer this franchise.
“From the beginning, we’ve been blessed with wonderful directorial talent for the Twilight Saga, and I’m so happy that Eclipse will be carrying on with that tradition.”
