Rocketman (2019) Vs Bohemian Rhapsody (2018)

It always seems to happen that when we get one film in a certain style we get a few in a very short space of time and that is kinda how it feels with Rocketman coming out this year after Bohemian Rhapsody this year. Both about legends in the music world, Sir Elton John and then Queen led by Freddie Mercury.

Both were around at the same time and started not too far off each other in the crazy 60s music world in the UK. Freddie Mercury (1969-1991 his death) and Elton John (1962-present) both gay men who could not fully be themselves, but on stage the personas they could create were a release. That is certainly something that is put into both films.

Trailer: Rocketman (2019)

To begin with I was honestly wondering why we were getting an Elton John film but having now watched this trailer and seeing as short video a few days ago with Taron Egerton becoming the legendary singer I am now fully onboard and want to see this one!

BAFTA 2019 – Red Carpet

Always nice to see the stars arriving on the red carpet!

I absolutely adore seeing Jonathan Pryce on the red carpet with Glenn Close! Not forgetting my favourite Richard E. Grant!

Cineworld Secret Screening 9 – Possible Films

secret-screening-branded-2_zpszlrrdwja

The ninth secret screening date has been confirmed by Cineworld (website link) but it is not bookable yet. As standard now it has the 15 rating and 90 minutes as the running time, that doesn’t mean anything now though when they first started doing these screenings the time and rating used to be pretty much spot on, but they now have those down to try to trick everyone. We have now had so many different genre’s that it really could be pretty much any type of film.

Date: Monday 8th October 2018

Poster: Robin Hood (2018)

We have a new Robin Hood film coming out in November 2018. They have recently released the new character posters and I think you will agree that the cast is a pretty impressive line up but also quite strange as well.

Taron Egerton is leading the line up as Robin Hood and he is rather popular I like him as well, so it will be interesting to see which approach they take with this film. Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves still holds a very special place in my heart (I don’t care what anyone says about that).
