Top 10 – Worst Films of 2010

The downside of going to the cinema once maybe twice a week is that you will end up going to see some bad films at some point. Or maybe not just bad, but disappointing after they have been built up so much. I have managed to see 41 films from the year 2010, so picked by 10 worst from those!

Some of the films may come as a bit of a shock on the worst film list, but just how I felt watching the films. The more I have looked over my list the more it appears disappointment set in whilst really looking forward to seeing the films.

Alice in Wonderland (2010) Review

Alice is now 19 years old and returns to Wonderland but has no memory of the place or anyone, will it all come back to her in the end? Will she fulfill her destiny and end the Red Queen’s reign of terror. She reunites with all of the characters from her childhood adventure which she believed was a dream. Could the Mad Hatter convince her that it was not a dream and in fact real?

Johnny Depp & Tim Burton: A Love Match Made in Heaven

The up and coming release of Alice in Wonderland will be the 7th collaboration between director Tim Burton and actor Johnny Depp. They keep putting out amazing films, with Depp putting in brilliant performances. We see it a lot when certain directors keep working with the same actors and putting out very good films, so once an actor finds a director who can bring out the best in them is it best for them to keep collaborating? I think so. Depp and Burton are a prime example of creating good films together which are wacky, wild and often random.

Alice in Wonderland (2010) Build Up!

I have been looking forward to Alice in Wonderland since hearing that Tim Burton would be making the film. I love Tim Burton films as they are always very different to anything you have seen before. The film is due for release on Friday and I am very much hoping that I can get to see it on Friday.

Earlier this week we had the Odeon cinema change announcing that they would not be showing the much anticipated film because Disney plan to release the DVD 12 weeks after the cinema release instead of the usual 17 weeks. I found this very strange that Odeon were willing to lose out on so much money by not showing the film and letting their usual customers got o other cinema chains. This didn’t really effect myself as I am a Cineworld customer. Cineworld is actually opening the film on a massive release with hundreds of screens across the country. Odeon changed their mind and decided to release the film this Friday. It really does look like its going to have a big box office taking.

Michael Sheen – Underrated Actor?

Michael Sheen appeared on the Graham Norton show a week or so ago now. I must first say that I love Graham Norton and have been a fan of his for such a long time now, he asks questions that other talk show hosts could not get away with and getting them to do random things. Any way Michael Sheen was a guest and even done an impression of graham. They talked about his recent appearance in New Moon as Aro and the impact that this could have on his career, this lead me to think about Michael Sheen . . .

Alice in Wonderland (2010) Poster

Another new poster for the much anticipated Alice in Wonderland movie has been released this one featuring Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter. This is my favorite poster so far, but I think more will be released.

Alice in Wonderland (2010) Trailer

After seeing the new posters and mentioning seeing the trailer at the cinema the other day in 3D. I decided to go on a search on youtube to find the trailer and post in on my blog. I really do just love Johnny Depp the more and more I see him. I do find this trailer very teasing as you do not really get to see much (which is a plus) but it really leaves you wanting more.

What do you make of this trailer?

Are you looking forward to this movie?

Alice in Wonderland (2010) Posters

Two more posters have been released for Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland”. So the build up continues for what has to be one of the movies I really cannot wait to see. Especially after seeing the trailer before “A Christmas Carol” the other day.
