Full House (TV Series) Review

I fall into that Netflix binge watching of TV series every now and then, that was exactly the same with Full House. Something I had heard a lot about over the years (launching the Olsen twins career) but strangely I had never actually watched it before. Running from 1987 (the year I was born) until 1995 with an impressive 8 seasons it certainly has all of the qualities of TV shows from the 80/90s.

The very start of the show is Danny Tanner having to come to terms with the death of his wife and then facing the task of raising his three daughters. He isn’t going to be doing this alone though as his brother in law Jesse is going to help along with his friend Joey. I guess we can compare to Three Men and a Baby then Three Men and a Little Lady except they have three girls to raise and one is still a baby!

Sky Movies in March/April

I use Sky Movies a lot to catch up with films that I missed on the cinema release but also as an introduction to some other films that did not manage to get a cinema release. With the On Demand options as well they really do have a massive amount of films available to watch both old and new.

I thought I would start blogging more about which films are coming soon to Sky Movies for the UK based followers of Let’s Go To The Movies, making it easier for you to find a place with the latest Sky Movies news!

Inside Out – Review – From Friday 25th March

A truly fantastic film from Pixar and really will tug at your heartstrings. If you did not see this one at the cinema then you really do have to make the effort to watch it on Sky Movies when it is available! What better to watch over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend?

San Andreas – Review – Available Now

By no means the best film in the world but a great addition to the disaster film genre with The Rock as engaging as ever really pulling out all of the stops in this one!

Gotham (Season 1) Review

In Gotham we see James Gordon starting out in the Police Department as he takes on his first case, the murder of the Wayne’s and how this causes absolute chaos in the city. The series also gives us many different origin stories of the many villains.

Let’s face it Batman has always been on favourite and still is my favourite no matter how hard Iron Man tried! Ok anyway I had tried to watch this and recorded it on Sky, but never actually got round to have the time to watch it. That changed though a few weeks ago when I spotted the series on Netflix. Such an easier way to watch a TV series (and very addictive) next episode, next episode.

Netflix and TV Shows

Every now and then I tend to become totally obsessed with a TV Show that is on Netflix. I don’t tend to watch a lot of TV shows normally, at the moment I am watching Blue Bloods, Glee and Game of Thrones that is all from the new series of shows that are still being shown on TV. Obviously very sad once Glee starts in the UK that it is the last season, I still enjoy it a lot. This blog post has come about as I have noticed that due to my current TV Show obsession on Netflix I have not been watching any films to review.

Best Picture Project

After the current awards season I have decided to start a new project on Let’s Go To The Movies . . .

Best Picture Project

Not just to watch and review the winners of the Best Picture Oscar since it began but to watch and review all of the nominees as well. This is a very big task. For the recent years or maybe even from the 90s I might have already seen them.

When I have completed all from one year I will then bring it together and do a big post on that year. If I feel the right film won, which I enjoyed and most importantly which ones I hated. A couple stick out in my mind already thinking about that.

You can keep track of the progress with the link provided above, I will link to the reviews and add if I have seen the film. I am not going to set a time frame for this huge task but if anyone has any tips that would be appreciated, especially if a film is then available on UK Netflix or Sky On Demand, please let me know!

Launch of Sky Atlantic HD

Tonight sees the much anticipated launch of Sky Atlantic HD and the premiere of Boardwalk Empire in the UK. A show that we have heard so much about over the past few months and I am really looking forward to it. Another show on tonight is Blue Bloods, I have already set both of them to record on Sky+

New TV and PS3/Blu Ray DVD!

That’s right the picture shows the evidence that I eventually upgraded my TV and DVD player to a lovely 32 inch flat screen and a Playstation 3 which doubles up as a blu ray player!

It was about time really, now I just have to start buying blu ray dvd’s . . . any advice on what I need to have in my blu ray collection???
