Today’s quote from a film which really hit a lot of nerves with me “The Wrestler” I am still most upset that Mickey Rourke was not given an Oscar last year for his performance as Randy “The Ram”. He broke your heart and then done it all over again after you thought he had changed his ways. This quote is just brilliant.
“I’m an old broken down piece of meat and I deserve to be all alone, I just don’t want you to hate me.”
This scene is amazing! Such great acting by both people and this line sends me over the top.
It really is such a brilliant scene.
I love this film. I’m still very bitter that he didn’t receive Best Actor at last year’s Academy Awards.
I am glad someone else is still bitter too that Mickey didnt get the Best Actor Award.
Good scene, but I gotta say my favorite is him shooting the shit with the deli customers. Dude got totally robbed of an Oscar.
