In the last couple of weeks British actress Angela Lansbury became a Dame and met up with the Queen to receive that honour. Such a fantastic achievement for one of Britain’s most famous actresses, who is currently back in the West End at the moment after a very long absence. I am hoping to head down to London sometime next month to see her on stage!

The honor was long overdue. One thing I don’t understand is why the British monarchy only knight English and Scottish cinematic icons. I mean I know the reason, but think it’s highly unfair to some great talents, past and present.

Yeah I always thought she was already a Dame so think I was more surprised it hadn’t happened years ago. But at least it has now!
