It’s ok she was the best thing in that film. I just really loved Steve Jobs.

Vikander deserved it 🙂

I personally don’t think she should have been in this category totally a leading role!

Very true! It’s a strange how they work it out. Mark Rylance was surely a leading role? I am very upset Spotlight won.

I was pleased for Spotlight to win. Rylance was supporting for me as didn’t have a massive amount of screen time.

I just really didn’t like Spotlight. Depends how they work it out as his character was the main focus of the film.

It’s supposed to go on screen time really as he was no where near Hanks who was the leading role.

But then Roony Mara and Vikander have a massive amount of screen time. Also in films like The Big Short and Spotlight, who was the lead?

That annoyed me about Mara as well but think they separated it off so she didn’t go up against Blanchett. Always seems to happen with the women more than the men for some reason.
The Big Short and Spotlight wouldn’t have had anyone put forward for a leading role I wouldn’t have thought.

No not at all! I think the best Actress role was quite weak. I would have liked Ronan to take it. I think Brie with no make up won it for her. I also think the Oscars like to back current topics.

Yeah the going “ugly” approach never thought of it like that. Yeah Ronan totally won me over in Brooklyn was never a big fan but totally loved that film.

Yeah I think any other year Fassbender would have been close for Steve Jobs!

Yeah! It has Been and odd year. The awards have been given to all different people and films. Only DiCaprio has been a consistent winner.

Crazy that her win wasn’t for her best performance in the past two years, very good but she’s amazing in Ex Machina and Testament of Youth. I also had no idea until last night that she was going out with Michael Fassbender!

Glad to see her get an Oscar. Right actress, but wrong movie – should have been for Ex Machina.
Cheers!

Yeah totally see your point with that. The Danish Girl certainly had a great Oscar campaign as was a bang average (if that at times) film.
