New York City police detective John Shaft sees the crime of Walter Wade Jr as a personal battle when it was a murder which was motivated by race. With a key witness not willing to testify against him and going into hiding, it was always going to be a tough task for Shaft!

55 Steps (2017) Review
Eleanor Riese a patient in the psychiatric unit of a San Francisco hospital knows that the medication she is being given is making her worse. She manages to request a lawyer and Colette Hughes takes on the case, which turns out to be an uphill legal battle to improve treatment for mental patients by having consent to the drugs they are given.

Second Act (2018) Review
Maya works is a big box store and has worked her way up to assistant manager in the fifteen years she has been at the company. That is as far as she will get, but when her godson sets up a fake resume she is offered a job in Manhattan and could really change things without having that college degree!

Earl Stone is 90 years old and has let his family down constantly over the years, he is a Korean War veteran and had been a horticulturist. When he ends up on even tougher times he ends up working for the Mexican drug cartel as a driver through Illinois.

Recreating the Movie – Rocky Horror!
Let’s do the time warp again … I have waited three years now to be Columbia again and throughly enjoyed seeing the Rocky Horror on stage again last night for the 7th time!
7 Greatest Performances: Christian Bale
Christian Bale is quite possibly one of the greatest British actors of all time. Causing chaos at the Golden Globes when some people didn’t realise that he is Welsh! I found that very amusing but also confirmation that he is therefore a truly outstanding actor! He has been nominated four times for an Oscar-winning for his supporting role in The Fighter.
He is very well-known for his serious method acting and really becoming the character. This has resulted in serious weight loss and weight gain over the years to achieve a totally different look. Not forgetting his working out to become Batman for Christopher Nolan!
He is certainly one of my favourite actors and here are my choices for his 7 Greatest performances . . . (So far) . . .

Fangirl Moments – Fatal Attraction Reunion!
I don’t even care if this is a standard thing to do at awards shows and have former co-stars present with one another. Fatal Attraction was a groundbreaking film nominated for Best Picture and at the SAG Awards last night they reunited Glenn Close and Michael Douglas!
