We’ll Meet Again is a song that was first around in World War II and was sung to the troops by Vera Lynn before they left England to fight. The lyrics are truly poignant and powerful, last night The Queen addressed the nation and finished by saying we will meet again and other references to the war were within the speech. So since then I have been thinking about this song especially considering it reminds me of my Nanna who was evacuated during WWII so much so we had it as the final song at her funeral.
I also thought of this song when she mentioned “we’ll meet again” at the end of her speech.
One of the best things to come from our small island.
