Deadpool & Wolverine (2024) Review

When Deadpool is eventually given the change he has always wanted to be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe it turned out it wasn’t going to be the easiest decision when if he did that his whole universe would be extinct. So he finds a variant of Wolverine to help him instead …

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

By this point of our third instalment of Deadpool we more than know what to expect, with the bloody violence, strong language and the ultimate pisstaking of well everyone and everything.

I mean the story follows into the whole multiverse and time travel whilst also ripping everything apart around all of that. As Wade must make a decision of having his dream of becoming an Avenger or saving the people he loves. He had actually tried to leave Deadpool behind him and work as a car salesman. He was naturally very bad at that!

Even though I went to see it more than a week after the release (being obsessed with the Olympics being the main reason) anyway, the point I was attempting to make was that I avoided all the potential spoilers. Although to be brutally honest, different characters appearing as cameos or small roles isn’t really something I would have been upset about knowing beforehand.

As Wade is approached by the Time Variance Authority led by Mr Paradox, he feels as though everything will be working out well. But on being old that due to the death of Logan aka Wolverine in his universe everything is going to come crashing to an end. In typical Deadpool fashion he decides to find another Wolverine from a different universe to help out, settling on what may just be the worst variant of Wolverine. This does give us some very amusing moments and quite frankly Hugh Jackman was just having fun at that point!

The plot does have plenty of twists, turns and those suprises with Cassandra Nova being the main villain and ruling over the Void. This area where superheroes would be sent when they no longer had a purpose, hence the number of Deadpool’s that have ended up in the void?

The thing is though with this film it actually does turn into just a fun and enjoyable ride, plenty of jokes to make you laugh. Those jokes about the superhero universes in general, Marvel, Fox but then some personal touches as well for both Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds. This leads nicely to saying that the pair just worked so well together, I mean we have all been waiting for this right? Given that they are such great friends off screen. I really did enjoy Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfadyen for them to bounce off which created chaos.
