My Hometown Blogathon!

This is Let’s Go To The Movies first attempt of hosting a blogathon! Which hasn’t worked out too well with the timing of it all, having been in South Africa for 10 days last week! This did however mean a very long trip on a plane and plenty of films watched and caught up with. But also meant I didn’t have time to send out any updates and see if anyone else wanted to take part in the Hometown Blogathon, so basically if you would like to submit your town at any point over the next week then feel free to put a post together!

Please find below the fantastic bloggers who have took the time to put together some brilliant posts about where they live (or used to live).

Montreal, Canada – Tranquil Dreams

Birmingham, England – Flick Chicks

Queens, New York, USA – Dell on Movies

Poços de Caldas, MG, Brazil – Critica Retro

Perth, Australia – Feeling Fuzzier

Staunton, VA and The Shenandoah Valley – Mysterious Bibliophile

Chicago, USA – All Eyes On Screen

From Stage to Screen Blogathon – Everything I’ve Seen

When I came across this fantastic Blogathon idea by Rachel over at Rachel’s Theatre Reviews and Rosie over at The Rosebud Cinema. It was something that I just had to get involved with, because as well as loving the cinema and films I have a passion for the theatre and seeing shows. This is something which I have now properly been doing for the past 10 years, yes realising that has made me stop and think, so it seems to be a perfect time to put together this blog post. I am going to look at all of the different shows I have seen on the stage and then also seen the film version.

7 Films That Will Make You Scared of the Water

It’s been a while since I have put together a ‘7 Things’ list but while watching some of “All is Lost” on Saturday it got me thinking about films which will actually make you scared to go into the sea and maybe of the water in general. I certainly wouldn’t fancy a small boat in the sea at all!

Didn’t quite make the list – Titanic I thought this would be the most obvious choice so decided to not include it in the 7 films.

Page by Page by Paige Tour – Review

An incredible evening with the first lady of musical theatre as she takes a trip through some of the incredible shows she has been part of and belts out some incredible songs from these shows. With plenty of stories and laughs in between to really share in how much Elaine loves being on that stage. But not only that she can still totally own the stage. I am truly honoured and privileged to have seen the absolute legend live after years and years of wanting to do just that, we will never really say goodbye.
