This year I did a countdown of 31 classic horror films – and I left so many out, because there are so many great ones…”The Changeling” is a lesser-known haunted house film with the legendary Actor George C. Scott, and the classics like “Halloween” or “Night Of The Living Dead” and “The Exorcist” always work, but here is the post to perhaps my favorite one of all – great story by Stephen King, incredible acting from Sissy Spacek, Piper Laurie, Amy Irving and yes, John Travolta! Halloween, The Thing, Ghostbusters, The Mummy, The Lost Boys…. have been doing a week of the good stuff, there’s some real proper classics out there always worth revisiting!
I really need to catch up more with the horror genre!
We watched the original Frankenstein in the cinema last Halloween, amazing to watch it like that, quite traumatic!
That’s brilliant! I’m gutted I couldn’t make the screening of The Shining tonight.
I love Dawn Of The Dead and The Thing (and I am NOT a gore fanatic!)

I like satirical alien invasion movies with a side of humor, so Grabbers (2012) and The Faculty (1998). Also the original Tremors (1990) although I don’t know, or care, if those last ugly dudes are aliens or just leftover prehistoric horrors. Happy Halloween!
Tremors is glorious, still one of those you start watching and can’t stop if it’s on the TV.
Also watched The Faculty a few weeks ago for the first time in years, really remember it, so must hav watched it a lot as a teenager! I also remember Grabbers from a film festival a few years ago, ridiculous but so much fun!

Hope you had a Happy Halloween! I should really watch Hocus Pocus someday… My kid might like it. 🙂 Hmm. My favorite scary movies? I do love The Shining & Romero’s Dawn of the Dead.
