Love Happens (2009) Review

Now I have to first say that the poster and trailer for this movie are both quite deceiving, even the title to a certain extent as well. This is far from being just a romance or romantic comedy movie. It is much deeper and more of a drama than that, which I was quite surprised about. As I really did think it was going to be more about a romance between Aaron Eckhart and Jennifer Aniston, but that is more of a side story which is quite a disaster at times. Yes, I did not read the plot before I went to see the movie.

It’s Complicated (2009) Poster

I am very excited for this movie for two reasons. 1. Meryl Streep and 2. A Nancy Meyers movie. This is the poster which has been released and the picture/tagline pretty much describes the plot of this movie.

Me and Orson Welles (2008) Poster

Listed as 2008 on IMDb, but not on general release til this year. I have to say I am looking forward to seeing this movie, mainly because Zac Efron is in it and it should be a different role for him. So this is the poster for the movie, due for US release in Novemeber. But no UK release date has been set yet.

I cannot decide who I keep falling more in love with Clint Eastwood or Meryl Streep. Each role I watch them in they make me love them so much more than I did before. Why does Clint Eastwood just seem to love ripping your heart out in the movies he directs, produces, stars in, etc?

Dear John (2010) Trailer

Since first becoming aware of this movie a few hours ago, I decided to go on a trailer search and eventually managed to find it. Its a rather long trailer, but makes me want to see this movie even more now. It does look like another good Nicholas Sparks novel turned into a movie.

Top 250 – Still in the Works

My Top 250 films list is still in the works, the first few films will hopefully be ready to post in the next week or so. This is a lot bigger task than I really expected. I am changing somethings around at the moment and trying to make sure I have it all pretty much spot on but I still find it so difficult to rank so many films in order. Plus I might take some out and add a couple of different ones in. I want to know why exactly I started this task now, haha.

Dear John (2010) Poster

I have just come across the poster for this film which is due to come out next year. Which ended up being the first time I have heard of this film. As soon as I saw that it was Nicholas Sparks who wrote the story, I wanted to know more about this film. I am a big fan of Nicholas Sparks books which have been turned into films, even if they are always sad at the end. They always contain such a great love story. For this one as well throw in Channing Tatum and I am definitely there.
