RIP Tim Curry

Even more sad news today that actor Tim Curry has passed away at the age of 80, he had battled illness for many years since having a major stroke in 2012. He still continued to do different events and appearances over the last few years.

He had so many legendary roles, including my personal favourite as Frank-N-Furter in the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Maybe most well known for his role in Home Alone 2 or Annie. He was also Pennywise the Clown in IT. His filmography including many more amazing films and tv shows.

Thoughts go out to all of his family and friends. ❤️

RIP Dolly Parton

Such sad news broke this evening that country singing legend Dolly Parton has passed away at the age of 80. A true legend to music, an amazing person and someone who had also appeared in many movies and tv shows.

Always with a smile on her face in whatever appearance, famously wrote “Jolene” and “I Will Always Love You” in the same day! Thoughts go out to all of Dolly’s friends and family, rest in peace ❤️

RIP Hayden Panettiere

Such sad news breaking this morning that at the age of 36 Hayden Panettiere has died. She was a child star from her breakout role in the incredible Remember the Titans and went on to star in many different films and TV Shows. She had been very open and honest about he struggles over the years and that makes this news even sadder. Thoughts go out to her friends, family and daughter.

RIP Vincent Pastore

Yesterday the news broke that Vincent Pastore has passed away, at the age of 80 years old. A member of The Sopranos cast and many other tv and film projects over the years. Thoughts go out to his family and friends.

RIP Robert Duvall

Sad news broke today that acting legend Robert Duvall passed away yesterday (15th February) at the age of 95. He starred in The Godfather, Apocalypse Now and made his film debut in To Kill A Mockingbird, a career spanning many decades working across different genres saw him win one Oscar for his role in Tender Mercies and be nominated a futher six times. Recieving nominations in four different decades with the last being for The Judge in 2015.

RIP Rob Reiner

Such sad news to wake up to this morning that director and actor Rob Reiner along with his wife Michele were both found dead in their home yesterday afternoon. Director of incredible films, A Few Good Men, When Harry Met Sally, Misery, Stand By Me, This is Spinal Tap, Sleepless in Seattle and some of my guilty pleasures including The American President, Rumor Has It and The Bucket List. As well as many acting roles.

RIP Diane Keaton

Super sad news that has broken in the last half hour that actress Diane Keaton has passed away at the age of 79. An Oscar winning actress for her role in Annie Hall, was also nominated on three other occasions for Reds, Marvin’s Room and Something’s Gotta Give.

She had a truly incredible career in film, starring across many different genres. Including The Godfather trilogy and Manhattan. My favourites include Father of the Bride and The First Wives Club, as they give me happy memories.

RIP Dame Patricia Routledge

Sad news broke this afternoon that Dame Patricia Routledge has passed away at the incredible age of 96! She had a truly amazing career which spanned across stage and screen, probably most well known and loved for her part as Hyacinth Bucket in BBC sitcom Keeping Up Appearances.

I was very fortunate to spend an evening in her company back in 2016 when she did a show at The Customs House in South Shields, where she talked about her life and career in a very intimate and lovely interview (read here). Rest in Peace Patricia ❤️

RIP Robert Redford

Sad news broke today that legendary actor Robert Redford passed away at the age of 89. A very well respected actor and director with a career spanning seven decades, taking on so many iconic roles, across many genres and in more recent years even being part of the Marvel Universe.

A true icon of cinema and so many memorable roles, he has been one of my favourite actors for many years and I feel as though the performances he delivers in All the President’s Men and The Way We Were being two of my favourites. His Oscar win came for best director for Ordinary People in 1981.

RIP Val Kilmer

Sad news broke this morning that iconic actor Val Kilmer passed away yesterday at the age of 65. Well known for his role of Batman in Batman Forever, Ice Man in Top Gun and Jim Morrison in The Doors. In 2014 he suffered from throat cancer which had a big impact on his life as well as his acting career. I was lucky enough to do a photo op with him a London Comic Con back in 2019. Rest in peace Val ❤️
