Legendary actor Gene Hackman has passed away at the age of 95, he was found dead with his wife at home and thoughts go to all of his family and friends at this time. He was a double Oscar winner with his performances in The French Connection and Unforgiven winning, he was also nominated for three other performances in Mississippi Burning, I Never Sang for My Father and Bonnie & Clyde. A truly outstanding career, rest in peace Gene.
Sad news that Dame Joan Plowright passed away on 16th January 2025, at the age of 95. She was the widow of Laurence Olivier and had been a titan on stage, screen and tv for over 60 decades. Rest in peace to Dame Joan.
Rest in peace to a true British treasure and incredible actress Dame Maggie Smith, who has sadly passed away at the age of 89. First brought to my attention as a kid in Sister Act and then I have just loved the many different projects she has been in over the years. She will be most well known for her roles in Harry Potter and Downton Abbey. I also love to remember her small role in First Wives Club as it never fails to make me smile. A double Oscar winner for her performances in The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie in a leading role and in California Suite in a supporting role.

RIP to actor James Earl Jones who has passed away at the age of 93. Most well known for being the voice of Darth Vader. He also voiced Mufasa in The Lion King as well as staring in many films and appearing on Broadway, Field of Dreams is one of my favourites.
Rest in peace to the truly legendary actor Donald Sutherland, who passed away at the age of 88. A remarkable actor who had so many different career choices and incredible roles over so many decades.
Rest in peace to British actor Bernard Hill who has sadly passed way at the age of 79. Star of Lord of the Rings in the incredible role of King Theoden and as the Captain in Titanic, being two of his biggest roles. Many other acting credits on both TV and film, as well as a respected stage actor. Thoughts go out to his family and friends.
Sad news today that Rocky acting legend Carl Weathers has passed away, most well known for his role as Apollo Creed in the Rocky franchise as well as appearing in many other films. He passed away at the age of 76, rest in peace ā¤ļø
Most well known for her role as Mrs Banks in Mary Poppins, Glynis Johns was an incredible actress of both stage and screen. The song Send in the Clowns, was written for her by Stephen Sondheim.
She passed away at the age of 100! Having reached that incredible milestone in October 2023.

Actor Tom Wilkinson has passsed away at the age of 75, most well known for his role in The Full Monty. Had a fantastic career staring in many film and tv shows, including The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, Shakespeare in Love, Sense and Sensibility, Rush Hour and RocknRolla.
